Navalny, 47, a prominent critic of President Vladimir Putin, spent his final years behind bars as the Russian leader reshaped the country to rally behind his war in Ukraine.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has died in prison, the country's prison service said Friday, following a yearslong struggle against official corruption and President Vladimir Putin's government that saw him survive several poisoning attempts.

    He was 47.

Navalny was poisoned with a military nerve agent while on a business trip in Russia in 2020 — an attempt on his life that he blamed directly on Putin — and spent his final years behind bars as the Russian leader reshaped the country to rally behind his war in Ukraine. News of his death, which comes as the Kremlin is preparing to orchestrate another election victory for Putin in March, drew outrage from the West, where many leaders blamed Putin.

Putin, the MAGA darling, has just claimed another victim.

    We've lost count.

Navalny was by far the best-known opponent of Putin in the world.

But, according to some on the right, Putin isn't our enemy, he's a guy we can get along with...

I am seeing in a new light the conversation with Bill Clinton that Putin keeps bringing up discussing him joining NATO

Bill: hey! so about this Putin guy. He seems pretty nice. Shall we let him join NATO?

CIA: um well, about this Putin guy...*hands file over*

    "MAGA darling"?

Care to remind us who failed to deter Russia's two land grabs in Ukraine, canceled Bush's missile defense initiative in Eastern Europe, refused to sell Ukraine lethal arms and went groveling up to Vlad the Invader with little plastic reset buttons?

    Here's a hint:

    Hillary-Clinton-Sergei-Lavrov.jpg

And I'm sure Canadian Bidenistas such as yourself will be delighted to see this:

Vladimir Putin Endorses Joe Biden for President
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...utin-endorses-joe-biden-for-president.616712/

That's what the Leftist Obama-Biden Adminstrations told us.

It's horrible news that Navalny got killed - I presume he got poisoned again - and it was unfortunate that you decided to climb on his coffin and make a partisan political issue out of his death, especially when you're not even an American.

Throwing political opponents in prison is common for this government model.

Yes it is, and the party he supports here in America is embracing that model.

Nice distraction attempt at some lame jingoism, but when we see maga excusing putin’s invasion of Ukraine on a daily basis, and their leaders refusing to keep helping Ukraine defend itself against putin, it’s sobering to be reminded of what sort of person they are cheerleading for.

LMAO…indeed. The “lock her up” crowd glorifies such thuggish actions and embraces putin as a strong leader.

I'm sure Tucker is trying to come up with a way to defend this like their "cheap" groceries.

You have brought up a good point. Putin doesn't care to really favor any American president, his only concern is to sow discord and turmoil in the US, as that is what he feels helps him.

Who benefits from Navalny dying now, under "suspicious circumstances" -- especially so soon after the release of the two-hour Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin...? Russian mysteries are always the most convoluted and complex of all! 8)

I agree, and anything him and his flying Internet monkeys can do to throw shade on our democracy helps him deprive the Russian people of it back home.

    The MAGA darling?

Are you capable of engaging a single topic without injecting your hyper-partisan non-sense and pretending to yourself you're any different than the MAGA folks?

    LOL - Nice try, bro.

By the way, a marriage to a Morean despot's daughter doesn't make the Ulus of Jochi the Third Rome.
