Looks like Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee has been thrown under the bus ... and deservingly so ...

Four months after Trayvon Martin shooting, Sanford police chief fired

SANFORD, Fla. -- Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee, who came under fire for his department's handling of the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin, has been fired, City Manager Norton Bonaparte announced in statement on Wednesday evening.

“After much thoughtful discussion and deep consideration for the issues facing the City of Sanford, I have determined the Police Chief needs to have the trust and respect of the elected officials and the confidence of the entire community," Bonaparte said.
"We need to move forward with a police chief that all the citizens of Sanford can support.”

Lee’s ouster marks the latest step in a several-month saga at Sanford's City Hall.

The police chief came under intense scrutiny in the weeks following Martin's death on Feb. 26. in a gated community here.

Lee was placed on paid administrative leave on March 22, after the city’s City Commission gave him a no-confidence vote. He announced the next day that he would step down “temporarily."

An interim police chief, Richard Myers, was brought in from Colorado on May 4.

Myers has said he will remain on the job here for three to five months, pending completion of a review of operations at the police department.

I wonder what new "revelations" are upcoming to have triggered that event. . .after he offered his resignation and it was refused!

Seems that there is a LOT MORE disclosure that will put a new light on the Martin/Zimmerman case!

Too little, too late. The lynch mob's torches have already been lit. Once George Zimmerman is acquitted due to a mistrial, black people will riot, "white hispanics" everywhere will suffer the race war that media misinformation has caused, while White America looks on, thinking "thank God that George Zimmerman isn't one of us!"

I'm not sure you heard. . .but Zimmerman has NOT been acquitted yet. . .and the odds of his being found guilty of at least manslaugher are increasing every time there is a new disclosure.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprise if this "sudden" firing of the police chief is not related to some still unknown disclosure!

No, dear! The investigation into a crime and police procedure following that crime continue!

There will not be any lynching. ..but there may be a guilty verdict and a few years in jail for the shooter!

Lemme guess ... ex-Police Chief Lee was fired because Sanford City is as clairvoyant as you and are simply avoiding Rodney King riots that will happen ?

I'm still a bit confused as to how a hispanic can be white when the media reports this story...but when anyone criticizes the influx of hispanics coming to the US illegally...they're against 'brown people". Almost like we're talking about Chameleons. One might think there are agendas afoot with the MSM.

Where have you been ... Zimmerman is white, black and hispanic ... in fact, his many photo-ops ... and transgressions ... suggests he can do Chameleon pretty good ...

Wouldn't surprise me to find out that Lee wanted out. For the safety of himself and family he probably oughta get out of Sanford and florida before this kangaroo kourt goes to trial.

And all this time I thought it was Zimmerman who suspected, judged, and executed an innocent teenager. . .without trial!

I thought that was something for the courts to decide... Shouldn't we allow them that opportunity or does that get in the way of your race baiting???

I guess the media was done using Lee and had milked all they could out of him so it was time to let him go. Sorry ABCNews you don't have "Billy Lee" to use for your baiting of the races. I always thought they called him "Billy Lee" as in good ol boy Billy Lee.*wink, wink*

Mark my words. Something like this scenario will be played out again with the left pushing for rule of law. They're gonna have to twist themselves into knots to get past their behavior in the TM/GZ incident. it always happens. It's like clockwork.

I agree. . .it SHOULD have been for the court to decide if TRAYVON MARTIN was a "THUG" and had "CRIMINAL INTENTIONS" and was "DRUGGED UP!"

But obviously, Zimmerman decided that the kid was guilty. . .and executed him! So. . .you are saying that we need to give the "innocent until proven guilty" privilege to the killer, but not to the victim?

    Yep. . .that makes sense!

......innocent until proven guilty is for someone accused of a crime. It should help in getting a fair trial but no one is interested in that.

Seeing as we don't quite live in the police state liberals want, the reality is there wasn't a law enforcement officer near by to handle the situation, whatever it may or may not be, so that leaves us with reality, which is that an incident happened and because your dream police state doesn't exist, we must fall back to reality and the system we have. An incident happened, someone died, very tragic I assure you but because we have a legal system, we are forced to look at facts... I know, a real stretch, but we as a nation do not stop there, we actually expect a jury of our peers to examine items like facts and evidence and then determine concepts of guilt or innocence... (*)(*)(*)(*) shame the press has yet to understand this...

Absolutely. It is also a shame the people in positions to oversee and deal with our justice system can be pressured to act with more regard for their position than justice.

Our politicians are all crap, both sides on that, they have forgotten who they serve, or more to the point who they serve have forgotten their role in the process. Sadly one would be looking at prison time if they had the courage to smack the living crap out of the clueless voter and remind them of what our system was supposed to be about. If Americans actually thought about elections, took the time to educate themselves on the issues, and really thought about what the vote means we might well live a country we could be proud of again... Most fools today wait for the sound byte, see who is prettiest and vote how someone tells them to. Its pathetic, but with that knowledge in hand, there really isn't a better place in the entire world to live. Sadly as we sink deeper into the cesspool, we are still the top of the cesspool, because nowhere else is even close... Worse yet is there is little hope, apathy is very hard to change, we have created a world we deserve.

And maybe, just maybe, he was lousy at doing his job? Didn't think of that one, did you? Nah, far too simple-let's just throw in some conspiracy theory...
