Seems Israel isnt the only ones worried about possible iranian aspiration for a Nucelear Weapon, Considering Iran isnt only hostile towards Israel but also nations like Saudi-Arabia, UAE, its not strange.

Will this be a good thing ?( considering Iran would be hesitant to possibly use a nuclear weapons when 2 other nations have them) Or is it bad ( since it's possible that during a revolution such weapons can fall in the wrong hands)

It says ' civil ' nuclear power. There is nothing of interest in this news item for paranoid bomb-heads. Man's world is choking on his own fumes. Some dopes think that nuclear power is the answer.

It's a start. for a nuclear program, considering their vast fossile fuel reserves i highly doubt that SA worries about their energy needs,.

Your view makes sense if you think that oil reserves are unlimited, which they are not.

Thus, I'm more under the impression that much unnecessary and extreme hostility against Semites and Persians comes from Israel or Israel-favoring thinkers. It's as if anti Semitism, in general, shifted from Europe to Israel, making Israel the place, excuse or justification to express unnecessary hostilty against Semites.

A reputable economist in Tel Aviv compared "the fervent patriotism in Israel, accompanied by lurid hostility against Arabs" with anti-German sentiment in Britain before the Great War.

Saudi Arabia is one of the more repressive nations in the World. I hardly hold them up as reputable. The fact that they are our ally shows how hypocritical the United States in foreign affairs.

We talk loftily about Democracy, and go after countries claiming great concern over the freedom of peoples, when in fact everything we do is merely for expediency.

I get tired of all the flowery speeches that are nothing more than a crock of B.S.

You are right. The Palestinian people democratically voted for Hamas and as a result, the US democracy rejects their elected government and forces the Palestinian people to suffer and die.

Democracy does not mean that one must force Saudi Arabia to be democratic against the interests of the people living there. Democracy rather means that people can choose to have the type of govenment they want to have. So, with Saudi Arabia, the question is what do the Saudi people want, not what do the American people want.

That, unfortunately, is the rhetoric of hypocrites. Small wonder that America has, in the past, adopted hypocrisy as policy.

Saudi Arabia has huge power demands..

They need to expand their electrical grid.

Newer technology will allow them to desalinate water and generate electricity with a nuclear power plant.

I am sure that you know very little about Saudi Arabia.

They are also our oldest and most reliable ally in the region.

And, they have HUGE power demands.

If not for the Saudis ramping up production when Libya broke out in a rash last spring.. we would have been paying $6 a gallon for gas at the pump.

Yeah and I heard there's a shortage of oil that costs a dollar a barrel to pump so they'll have to risk contaminating Mecca and go to giant expense to develop nuclear reactors.
    Good idea.

I think KSA is overdue for nuclear power..

With today's technology they can produce electricity and desalinated water...

And Iran.. crazy as it seems needs the same capabilities. The problem is the constant threats from Israel.

Actually... Israel should be using their nuclear expertise to do the same thing instead of trying to cripple the neighbors.
