The 75th Annual Redding Rodeo is set to roll into California from May 17th through May 20th! This year, come out and celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of the rodeo and watch some awesome “Buckin’ by the River” in beautiful Northern California!

    History of Redding Rodeo

The Redding Rodeo was the dream of Sheriff John Balma, who grew up in an area filled with farmers, ranchers, and others who weren’t afraid of hard work. Much like many others of his time, Balma was shipped off to battle in the 1940s. In 1939, Balma became the chief of police and was an integral part of the formation of the sheriff’s posse. The first amateur rodeo started in 1943 with a $175 purse plus all entry fees. It wasn’t until 1948 that the official Redding Rodeo started taking shape as the tiny horse show rodeo moved to Redding where the scrap from the building of Shasta Dam became the spot of the present-day Sheriff’s Posse grounds, where Redding Rodeo is held today. Redding Rodeo is included in what’s called the 6 Pac Rodeo Group, which is made up of 6 major rodeos in California.…

…Redding, California is a beautiful city located in the northern part of the state, just south of the Oregon border. The city is known for its stunning views of Mount Shasta and its proximity to some of the best outdoor activities in California. Redding is also home to a vibrant arts and culture scene, making it a great place to explore during your visit….

The news talk station I listen to covered it today and Los Angeles and their bigoted anti rural jihad against rodeos dominated the conversation from the host, rodeo manager, city council man and callers. The rodeo to a good extent defines who we are. Redding and California will be on national tv for this event. The asphalt cowboys have an awesome event from the line dancing, chili cook off, six shooter contests, the bank heist to guess who did it and where the loot is hidden to steak dinner and dance, kids day, the nights of the rodeo, the pancake breakfast down town outdoors, the rodeo parade make for 9 great days.

This 75th anniversary event is going to be nationally televised. It is a huge event here bringing in many tourists and $10,000,000 extra to the local community. We will celebrate and revel in what LA detests!

I assume that guys that identify as girls and girls that identify as guys will compete against each other? Will there be a "Reparations Event"? Will there be designated "Homeless Camping" sites? All public restrooms will be open to any of the 26 recognized sexes? Will they have areas where free needles will be available for whatever drugs you want to inject? Will there be surcharges to cover minimum weekly stipends for anyone that wants to apply? Will there be free valet parking for those with electric cars? Will every contestant get a trophy so that there will be equity for all? Will there be discount prices for minority attendees? Will there be "makeup" booths for toddlers that will include the removal of sexual parts on request?

Will the whole affair be free if you identify as a local resident?

Will heterosexuals be allowed to participate?

Will there be a surcharge for Caucasians?

Will attendees be allowed to cheer for whomever they want?

Or you could just let go of the politics and enjoy the event...radical thought, I know.

Hello? You have us mixed up with someone else or some other part of California or something? https://visitredding.com/ The city, county, and region where this is taking place is as or even more conservative compared to any solid red state. The inland part of UpState CA north of Sacramento and the Bay Area is mostly rural, thinly populated, and ultra conservative. Total Trump country. Of course we welcome tourists to our attractions, events, and natural beauty without regard for politics

That must be why we defied his lockdowns, ignored mask mandates, had parental control of school boards before most, reopened our schools in person full time in August 2020 and why we are a 2A sanctuary and are one of the most heavily armed with one of the highest concentrations of ccw permit holders anywhere in the country. As to Newscum, 1/6 of all the registered voters here signed his recall petition and last year we voted Dahle for governor over Newsom 73% to 27%. In these parts there is no man more strongly disliked than Gavin…

My wife and I left San Diego to retire to Texas over five years ago. We've been laughing at the absolute mania in California ever since, thanking God we left. It really is nice to know that there's an island of sanity remaining there. You've even given us hope there may be more.

God only knows that most of Ca is a hot mess. It’s a disaster area and we cheer when companies and individuals leave LA or the bay to go to another state. We cheer more when they move here and stand up to the regime. There are pockets like here through out the Central Valley and along the Sierra Nevada foothills and the desert. We just appointed the VP of New California as our county CEO. They want California to be on the coast from Los Angeles County up to Humboldt county along with all the Bay Area counties, Yolo, and Sacramento counties with the rest being New California. It’s different that the Jefferson secession movement I named myself here after.
