School teachers have always done stupid things. At church-schools with all conservative teachers, they do stupid things, just different stupid things. I don't know why. Maybe being around so many kids for so long induces a sort of brain rot in susceptible people. It does seem to be some of the older ones who get crazy. Effective management oversight and the ability to get rid of the burnouts are always needed.
