Kids also watch violent video games in just about every country in the world but don't blow each other away.

Thankfully I don't live in your country so unlike you I'll just stick to commenting about what I do know.

I think American kids are perverted by the pornography and violence of the lib culture they grow up in.

    Guns are objects.

Sick people can use cars or bombs if guns are not available.

The kids have serious emotional problems that exist in our dominant lib culture.

It is a tool for shooting things. I have snakes and (*)(*)(*)(*) in my lake. Bears. Bobcats. I don't want pepperspray... what is pepperspray btw? Because you can buy it at home depot. You can buy a shotgun at wal-mart. There are all these licenses, and paperwork that has to be filled out with the ATF, and waiting periods... just isn't a tool they choose to carry. Like demolitions explosives. I can go down to my farm store and get some binary explosives if I want to blow out the creek bed to create another pond, but I cannot get them from Home Depot. Tools requiring licensing just doesn't fit their business model.

now what if the kid/suspect had extra magazines and shot 25 students to death , see even if the teacher did accidentally hit another student trying to hit the suspect, he would of stop a possible carnage.

Just made the case for why:
    High Capacity Magazines are bad
    AND
Teachers probably couldn't hit the side of a barn.

Welcome, you are now a thinking person, on PF that is called a Liberal.

It is a weapon. Period. Pretending it is something else is just some self delusional drivel so you can sleep better at night. I own weapons and I know what they are. I don't the Nanny Rifle Association to tell me some "tool" gibberish so I don't feel guilty when these mass shooters go nuts and shoot a mall
or school. It is sad, but a weapon is a weapon and it should be treated as such. Anything else is just insulting to any half way... no... quarterly thinking person.

I remember when hardware stores sold guns. There are probably still a few around. If you can't figure out the purpose of the tool, you aren't trying very hard.

    Self-defense
    Varmint control
    Hunting

    To name a few...

Pretty obvious if you spend a few minutes thinking about it.

Why do you own weapons? What use could you possibly have for them if they aren't tools?

Putting little holes in pieces of paper? Then again you could do the same thing with an air rifle. The bang isn't as impressive though, and gun nuts gotta have their big, impressive bang.

Using that analogy, what if the student had a nuclear weapon and detonated it? All the teachers with guns in the world wouldn't make a difference.

Enough talk and completely useless anecdotal evidence about how I saved Jimmy from the bad robbers. Here are some numbers on gun deaths and gun ownership in affluent Western economies. I took out Japan and South Korea otherwise the numbers would be even more embarrassing to American gun nuts. There appears to be a strong link between gun ownership and gun violence. If you don't like these
numbers go get your own darn numbers. And get them from a neutral source.

    From Wikipedia
Firearm-related death rate per 100,000 population

    US 10.3 (2011)
    France 3.01 (2009)
    Canada 2.38 (mixed years)
    Italy 1.28 (2009)
    Germany 1.24 (2010)
    Australia 1.06 (2010)
    Spain 0.62 (mixed years)
    U.K. 0.25 (2010)

    Guns per 100 Residents 2007

    US 94.3
    France 31.2
    Canada 30.8
    Germany 30.3
    Australia 15.0
    Italy 11.9
    UK 11.7
    Spain 10.4

It seems many don't realize that a gun is an easy tool to use even for a child, and with it you can kill many, with a knife it would require a lot more effort to kill people, after all you have to get close to stab someone and that makes things a lot different. It is by far more appealing for a wanna be psycho killer to kill people by pulling a trigger with a mere finger than kill them with a hand to hand weapon.

This is my simple idea about guns. No matter what you say, with a gun it's easy and quick to kill unarmed people so if there are no guns, every wanna be mass shooter will be deprived of the perfect tool for his purpose to accomplish. There are still other weapons but people can somehow defend themselves against a knife, they cannot defend against bullets.
