This belongs in the religion/philosophy forum. It is not a subject for science. Science is concerned with the natural world. God is part of the supernatural world. Science can't measure the supernatural.
Imagine your were omniscience omnipotent omnipresent being. Do you think you would be actively involved or very detached from the 4 dimensional world? I think that the watchmen did a great job of answering this question by giving Dr. Manhattan god like powers. He is pretty much a detached dick.
In another universe Hawking is the greatest mind ever to walk the planet. However, in this universe he is an overrated media creation who has used his disability to gain fame not relative to his scientific accomplishments or intelligence relative to his peers. See I can play with M-Theory too.
I couldn't care less about them or why they are evil. I only care about the innocent victims. There has to be some kind of justice for them.
