It appears that a majority of the scientific community now believe that nature is the primary cause of recent global warming instead of the actions of humans. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesta...cientists-skeptical-of-global-warming-crisis/ http://oss.sagepub.com/content/33/11/1477.full While I am all for making changes to minimize the impact our actions may have on the environment, I also feel that we need to balance those changes with impacts that may take place in other areas, such as economical and industrial impacts. These changes need to be a controlled decent instead of jumping off of the proverbial cliff of over reaction.
I don't know.... we better give some more billions to Obama's campaign cronies and kill off our energy production just to be safe. Carbon is your enemy
Mitt Romney said global warming was real, man-made, and needed addressing....same as President Obama....and got every "Global warming is a hoax" voter to vote for him. So apparently political support for the postiion is increasing.
So, are you saying that we should react based on political support instead of scientific support? Oh, wait, Obama is already doing that.
its all about money for these special interest groups who depend on global warming to make a living..end government grants and you would never hear the phases global warming, climate change.carbon emissions, carbon pollution, and all the rest of there stupid names they use
Support is dropping, you say? Couldn't have anything to do with the fact the IPCC GCMs have never been even close in predicting temperatures, could it? Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that "remedies" for AGW were tantamount to economic suicide, could it?
" Gaia deserves her due, from your wallet..." Taxcutter says: That's what Al Gore and the UN insist is true.
Obama? Who did the "Global warming is a hoax" Rightys vote for for President last November? THIS guy?-- By Ros Krasny MANCHESTER, New Hampshire | Fri Jun 3, 2011 12:52pm EDT MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change. "I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire. "It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors." http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/03/us-campaign-romney-idUSTRE7525GM20110603
So, if Mitt Romney says that he believes in man-made global warming, then that means that it exists? You are the one that is making this political. To me, it does not matter what politicians think. Politicians are whores that work for money and do not always follow logic, science, or reality. My OP is addressing the fact the the scientific community is loosing support within that community that actions of humans are the cause for global warming. Please stay on topic.
