Scott Walker's Cowardice Should Disqualify Him

    by Dana Milbank | washingtonpost.com | 02/20/2015
    Excerpts:

"What Rudy Giuliani did this week was stupid. What Scott Walker did ought to disqualify him as a serious presidential contender. As the world now knows, Giuliani, the former New York mayor, said at a dinner featuring Walker, the Wisconsin governor, that "I do not believe that the president loves America." According to Politico, Giuliani said President Obama "wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up, through love of this country." And Walker, just a few seats away, said .....nothing.

Asked the next morning on CNBC about Giuliani's words, the Republican presidential aspirant was spineless: "The mayor can speak for himself. I'm not going to comment on what the president thinks or not. He can speak for himself as well. I'll tell you, I love America, and I think there are plenty of people - Democrat, Republican, independent, everyone in between - who love this country."

    .....

"But did he agree with Giuliani? "I'm in New York," Walker demurred. "I'm used to people saying things that are aggressive out there." This is what's alarming about the Giuliani affair. There will always be people on the fringe who say outrageous things. But to have a civilized debate, it's necessary for public officials to disown such beyond-the-pale rhetoric. And Walker failed that fundamental test of leadership. Certainly don't look to Walker, who, in trying to establish himself as the man to lead the country after the 2016 election, is avoiding anything that might resemble leadership.

At home in Wisconsin, Walker's leadership has been conspicuously missing. His tax cuts have left the state with a $283 million deficit that needs to be covered by midyear and a deficit projected at $2 billion for the two years beginning in July. Bloomberg News reported this week that the state will delay $108 million in debt payments due in May - a move that will ultimately increase the amount Wisconsin has to pay. And Walker? He was at a dinner in New York with supply-side economists this week, explaining how he can do for the nation what he did for Wisconsin.".

    ......

IMO: What the Koch Brothers' Main Squeeze Scott Walker did last week should disqualify him from any presidential candidacy. He has proven himself to be an unsavory, unknowing, and unwilling to admit he is going to be a stooge for the Koch brothers by entering the presidential contest with grown men. If Americans are stupid enough to vote for this man, then we need to have every voting American 'allowed to vote' by the republican party, pass an intelligence test.

His extreme baggage is known not only in Wisconsin, but nationally. His Gestapo methods in dealing with public protests, union busting, and the demand for his recall had the Koch Brothers paying millions in barely squashing that recall which allowed Walker to call out State Police in searching for some missing Democratic lawmakers. Walker would be deep in more trouble for his huge deficit which is projected to be over $2 Bilion dollars by the time his term is over.

What we have to realize is that a vote for Walker means a vote for the Koch Brothers which will mean drilling wells, digging mines, and forcing water into holes to force thick oil to the surface and is a lazy way to ruin our environment even further for profits for a few. So let's say a fond goodbye to another mentally challenged republican aspirant to the White House.

He will DISQUALIFY himself soon enough. He is charmless, humorless and frankly, looks like a dullard. Dropping out of school is
actually a dealbreaker for many of us. A college graduate, any bachelor's degree, seems like the LOWEST threshold one should be
able to attain to be PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. (Call me crazy about that). The RW NEO-CON will kill off the rest of his
    limited chances.

    ......

But none of that matters when you have the Koch Brothers behind you...literally. Walker's pics show him to be afflicted with the stupid gene.

Comical at best. Obama's shuck and jive on sitting in Rev wright's church by saying he didn't hear anything is OK. You think not taking a stand on Obama's part isn't cowardice? You're just howling at the moon.

It's not Scott Walker's job to defend Obama - that's Dana Milbank's job.

Know your role, "progressive" crybabies - Walker knows his. :)

“To me, this is a classic example of why people hate Washington and, increasingly, they dislike the press,” Scott Walker said. “The things they care about don’t even remotely come close to what you’re asking about.”

In the mean time, Walker is doing great fund raising off the 'gotcha' mentality.

All dems that refused to have Obama campaign for them prior to last year's midterms should be disqualified as cowards.

What is the big deal about the Koch brothers?

I'm grateful to them for helping turn my state into a largely Republican one.

Although to be truthful, the demise of the Arkansas Gazette 25 years ago played just as big of a role.

So Walker conducts himself with dignity, does not allow the press to bait him into bashing the president, then scolds the press for lacking focus on important issues........and that's what libs call "cowardice".

Who cares, Walker will be one of the first of the GOP candidates to fall by the wayside.

the only things that can constitutionally disqualify someone from being president are their age or if they are not a citizen. and we all know only one of those has been enforceable.

As the entire nation eventually saw a vote for Obama was a vote for George Soros and the rest of the Dem Party's millionaires and billionaires club. The coward Obama refuses to call Islamic terrorism Islamic terrorism and is so adamant about that mania that years ago he had the Fort Hood Islamic Terrorist event labelled a Domestic Violence incident thus immediately screwing the victims of a TERRORIST ACT out of certain benefits. So when it comes to cowardice it's rather amusing to watch leftwingers point fingers.

And it's driving the left insane! I find it ironic that Agent accuses Walker of treating unions with Gestapo like tactics (paraphrasing) yet ignores those same unions acting like thugs in front of Walker's parents home...

I read in an article the Unions in Wisconsin begging members to re-join the union (and start paying dues I'm sure). One of Walkers reforms was to eliminate the practice of taking union due from the members pay checks before they even get it called dues checkoff. Then the goons have to go collect the money from the members themselves.

Keep believing that. You have a lot more to worry about if Bernie Sanders runs for President as an independent. I hope a Republican super PAC finances getting him on the ballot in all 57 states.
