They are still treating their Race Card play as a 'get out of an iffy situation free card' so far as their political ideology is concerned. If this Bundy drama has run its natural course and is going to move into the court system where it belongs or one of the state or federal agencies involved simply arrests him (if I grasp the viable options here, that is) then that is one thing, but Race Card playing leftwingers declaring it all over simply because they disagree with Bundy's comments about racial issues is quite another. Point blank, race talk has absolutely nothing to do with the meaningful issues in play.

In other words if it is over then it should be over for reasons other than the Left once again dragging race into every damn issue on planet Earth.

If our government was fascist, this wouldn't be a discussion.

Well I'm not sure of his reasoning... but my reasoning would be that during slavery the violent behavior was controlled within their populace whereas today it's spread out amongst the entire populace. Today they commit violence at an absurdly high rate. Furthermore, they were far more functional as family units when they were forced to stay with one another instead of leaving a bunch of bastard children. Also, he may have been talking about their enslavement to drugs which is an epidemic in their communities today as well.

I'm not sure what his justification for it would be... however there is certainly a logical line of thinking that would bring you to that conclusion.

Certainly there were problems with being a slave as well, but considering where they came from, what they would have endured since then and the fact that most slave-owners treated their slaves well...

:roflol: This is hilarious. Can I say hypocrite? :roflol: Can I say full of (*)(*)(*)(*)? Shawn Hannity! :roflol: He stepped in big pile this time. He supported Bundy, now the guy is beyond repugnant. So what is it Shawn? Are you supporting this thief or not? Just proves Shawn Hannity doesn't know his (*)(*)(*) from a hole in the ground, and runs away like a coward when the narrative changes to his disadvantage. The right should be totally embarrassed about this.

Typical garbage. Rather than conservatives pointing out the double standard in this, they live on their knees and beg forgiveness and engage in this obligatory distancing BS. Liberal politicians - forget about some bohunk rancher - make racist comments all the time and there is never a firestorm about it. How much money has Jesse Jackson lost for his "hymietown" comment why are liberal politicians rubbing elbows uncondemned with Louis Farrakhan?

Oh but gee -- if you don't denounce an old fart rancher at the snap of a liberal finger, you have lot legitimacy in polite company.

    Puh-lease.

Do you agree that your views are racist? I don't mean this to be incendiary, but strictly as a matter of fact.

That doesn't mean we have to. Remember when Hannity kept milking that Jeremiah Wright nonsense. He kept on and on about it. We can do the same. And we will. Hannity screwed this up big time.

Its racism to point out that black people commit 50% of the total murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in this country?

It's racism to point out that black people commit 33% of the total forcible rape in this country?

How is this reflective of either Hannity or the right? What I see here is the usual helping of liberal moral outrage.

Is this about "racist" comments or is this about political opportunism? It's really unfortunate when people mistake a political gambit for genuine moral outrage.

Oh absolutely. But I consider people who refuse to recognize differences in races as being willfully ignorant. So...

It is to draw the conclusion that race is the reason.

Bundy being a racist also has nothing to do with him not paying the fees he is supposed to pay like everyone else since 1993. Bundy is on the losing end of this like his home boy Hannity, who recruited himself into this, then ran away like the coward/(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) that he is.

Really? So tell me why is it that there is NO OTHER RACE that is even overrepresented slightly in regards to violent crime... except for blacks? In other words, black people represent 13% of the total populace. IF they represented 14% of the murders... that means they would be slightly overrepresented. Now tell me why are blacks the ONLY race that is overrepresented in regards to violent crime? There is not ONE other race that is overrepresented even SLIGHTLY. But blacks are overrepresented... but not slightly. I could understand 1 or 2 or 5% points. But they represent 50% of the murders and 33% of the forcible rape. That means they're overrepresented by 3.84x and 5x respectively.

Now when you explain that... then explain to me why these statistics are true regardless of the country that you look at.

That has nothing to do with Bundy. Changing the subject to Obama is a cop out.

Yes it is according to the leftwing cult of Political Correctness. Remember that until very recently they have absolutely controlled every aspect of race relations discussions in this nation. You can see it in their joyful embracing of Bundy's perspective on race. They fully expect the Bundy issue to just fade away now. (Shrug) In that expectation they might very well be correct for the simple reason that leftwing ideological indoctrination has sunk its hooks deep into the hide of this nation.

But anyway, they have absolutely no intention of those sets of statistics ever becoming legitimately considered issues in national racial issues dialogues. But . . . I think that eventually they are going to lose their last dregs of control as college age people begin talking about such issues regardless of the wishes of the Democratic Party leadership.

Here's the problem with the majority of lefties...they think if you "like" someone, then that means you "like" everything about them, or agree with everything they say or do. In their addled, kool-aid drinking obama worshipping minds it is simply not possible to have an opinion concerning only certain aspects of any given situation or about any one person. It's all or nothing because that's how it's done in their camp.

Bundy is most likely a racist...hell, he could even be a wife beater for all we know, but I'm not interested in the Bundy case because of "Bundy" or what he thinks about blacks. I'm pretty sure he's probably in the wrong somewhere on these grazing rights, but what I am interested in is how the situation is being handled, both by Bundy and the government.

The outcome and the methods employed (on both sides) are important.

I've never met Bundy, I'll never meet Bundy and frankly I don't care what his favorite color is, or if he supports some other completely unrelated ideology.

There are political candidates I like for various reasons. Doesn't mean I'm a sycophant for all things that candidate. I even have friends that have beliefs, or ideas or personality traits I don't like. There are people I don't like that have certain beliefs or ideas I do like or at least agree with. It all depends on what or how those things interact with or affect me.

I can choose to to go to a certain business because their service is good, but I could completely dislike the owner.

I can separate these things out, but apparently the left struggles with this from what I've seen. Hannity was right in calling Bundy disgusting for his racist comments. Does that automatically mean all support, or agreement for other, unrelated issues is dropped? Of course not.

It's racist because you assert the reason for those statistics is because of race.

Someone who is not racist would think that while there is correlation to be found in those statistics, the causation is not race.

The reason people think that's stupid is that you assume these differences are a result of genes rather than differences of the collective experiences of those races. In other words, you think blacks are more prone to crime because it's in their blood while dismissing all exterior influences. That leads people to believe you just enjoy hating blacks.

And someone who was being willfully ignorant would not even look at the possibility that the causation is race. In doing so they put themselves in a state of perpetual ignorance and cause FAR more harm to the people that they claim to want to help by not looking at the actual cause of the problem.

This is especially true when they've spent YEARS focusing on what THEY claim to be the causes (while completely ignoring the possibility of race) and the ONLY outcome they have received is a furthering of the problem and an exacerbation of the violence and a further eroding of the culture, morality and ethics of the very people they claim to want to help.

Whereas people like you automatically assume there could be no genetic component to it, at all. They as a group exhibit disproportionately high levels of violence around the world, with very different experiences depending on the location, yet we can't even suspect it might have something to do with their genetics.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoamine_oxidase_A

It's similar to how we have to believe that they are just as smart on average as other groups, despite knowing that there are differences in brain size and weight, on average. It's OK for all of us to assume they are better athletes thanks to increased fast-twitch muscle mass, but we can't suspect for a second that whites have any advantage over them, in any other area.
