SEN. AL FRANKEN: "If there was any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this (2016) campaign, what would you do?," the Minnesota Democrat asked.

SESSIONS: "I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians ."

In fact, he had multiple communications with the Russians. Flat out lie.

Not that I would expect you to care about it. Sessions is a Republican. Exhibit AS.

LOL. Could you explain how Sessions statement was not a bald face lie when he had in fact had multiple communications with the Russians while he was a Trump affiliate or surrogate?

And when you fail to do that, you can apologize to the world for misrepresenting (called lying by most people) Sessions statement as not being a lie.

You do not know that. A lie implies intent and you have no idea if Sessions intentionally said that. It could have been a misunderstanding or perhaps Sessions simply did not remember them at the time. But I see you intentionally left that out.

So no, you have proven nothing.

    - - - Updated - - -

Again, you do not know intent and have failed miserably.

Hahaha! Once again liberal "logic" falls apart and once again I have kicked over their sand castle.

LOL, so now your arguement is that Sessions did not intentionally say " I did not have communications with the Russians"? That's a new one.

    See my prior post.

That is your "explanation" for why Sessions statement was not a bald face lie? Your baseless claim he made the statement "unintentionally"?

LOL, thanks for sharing your opinion. I'll let other decide for themselves who has failed miserably.

But goes back to my initial post about how Republicans don't care about lying when it is a Republican doing it. Exhibit AT.

I'm sure infantile proclamations of victory will impress some here.

You mean other than the fact that he stated the words "I did not have communications with the Russians" after taking an oath to tell the truth? And it was on video and he did not deny saying it?

Maybe your self serving claims impress some here.

Still does not prove it was a lie. Intent. Intent. Do you have proof? No. You fail.

First, Sessions did not lie. This is what Sessions actually said: https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnew...h-the-russians

Sessions was answering a very specific question when he said he “did not have communications with the Russians.” That question — asked by Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.) — was, “If there is any evidence that anyone affiliated the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?” Sessions’ complete answer (which is not widely reported) was, “Senator Franken, I’m not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign, and I did not have communications with the Russians. And I’m unable to comment.”

So now that you have the facts, I will move to the second point.

Not all ideologies are equal, and not all should be tolerated. Any ideology that wants to "fundamentally transform" the USA out of the Constitution should not be tolerated.

Exactly. The context of the questioning shows he did not lie. The libs do not let truth get in the way of their fake news.

And a US citizen that puts Russia and lying Congressmen ahead of everything else, is someone to be carefully watched. :)

Hey, we're having a hell of a day here, Iriemon. I'm getting stabbed in the guts and back, and you're getting (*)(*)(*)(*)ed while picking up crumbs.

Perhaps the question we should be asking ourselves is, "Couldn't there possibly be a better way to run a nation than THIS?!" Look at us! The last 16 years have been a rotten, stupid, corrupt disaster for this country, except for Wall Street big-wigs and other stock market gamblers on both the Left and the Right. Does this ever cross your mind? It crosses mine more and more, all the time....

The way I see it, we're going to keep on trying to make ourselves believe that Russia must be our enemy, and magically it will become true. In the next ten years, if nothing changes us from plunging deeper into this stupidity, I see Russia and China teaming up to essentially boot our stupid, confused asses out of the entire Eastern Hemisphere. And then things will only get even worse, but we on the Left and Right in the U. S. will still be focused on fighting each other! And we'll have done it to ourselves!

Liberals and their faith based politics. All they want to do is preach what they believe to be true instead of considering all possibilities and going from there. Sad.

It seems nobody remembers that intent is a crucial component of perjury. Show that he had reason to cover it up or this is all hot air.

Or show there is something to cover up. What was the meeting about? What was discussed?

What do you mean, "He didn't disclose it"? His Senatorial meetings are a matter of public/governmental record. It's automatically disclosed. The questions during the confirmation hearings dealt with any secret, off the books meetings.

One of the "secret meetings" was actually a speech Sessions gave in front of 100 ambassadors. I'm sure vital information was exchanged during the speech via some secret code in front of the other 99 ambassadors.

He and his wife rent apartment with money they have left after selling apartment they owned and spent decade making a decent, cozy place where they can meet elder age with dignity. Crisis and drop of currency caught them with two big loans, over 50.000$ each, in two different banks. Prior to that tender speculating company my uncle worked in closed, and for several months he was unemployed, seekeing a new job. One of banks demanded early repayment of the loan, while other was adding enormous fine on top of loan for it not being paid regularily, which forced my uncle to sell apartment he owned. Now, that he paid loans back, and still can't find job due to job market being overflown with people from closed business enterprises and cut staffs of governmental ogranisations, he and his wife now live in rented apartment with newspapers on the walls, trying to find something decent with ~60000$ they have left. Which presents a trouble, since they have no children to support them, sadly, and have two rather big dogs to take care of. Before crisis ruined them they been participating in dog shows and from time to time coupling them.

So, technically he has roof above his head. Just not for long, especially if he does not finds a new job - which is not that simple at his age of slightly over 50 (I was a really late child and he is older brother of my mother) - and especially if we have any new significant drop of our currency. If that happens - somebody will have to take him in, yes. Which is not a very pleasant development, to have all family gathering under one, not very big, roof - after they spend three decades settling each under their own.

I would've preferred family taking each other to each other's summer houses in a good cars, instead of seeing one of them as homeless elderly couple. With two giant dogs. Needless to say, I guess, that I am a very, very firm cat person.

Session perhaps sometimes have lapses of memory loss,
still quite a negative crucial trait upon having that judicial position.
