You know, I've been listening to the "it's cheaper than_______" argument for decades. At this point, we are $17 trillion in debt and rising, and I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to believe it's cheaper to pay people off for irresponsibility than it is to tell them the gravy train is over.

As for the voters, that's their silly call. We've seen that and worse, most notably DC reelecting a certified crack head.

How about Huma and Hillary? Or are you one of those people so partisan, your criticism of silliness is entirely dependent on whether it's a D or an R after their name? No, I am quite sure you are more thoughtful than such a neanderthal like that.

Most of our debt comes from SS and Medicare, not welfare.

Our vast military spending doesn't help either.

All the wasteful spending needs to go. We could save tens of billions if not more just reducing overseas military deployments. Social Security? Put politicians in prison for stealing from it. There are various kinds of welfare programs that need to end, anything from farm subsidies to hybrid auto welfare subsidies to Planned Parenthood. I say we put everyone on notice: the free ride is going away, get your (*)(*)(*)(*) together or get the hell out.

I agree with ending all pork, and I'd even support ending funding from PP if the much bigger items were removed first.

As things currently stand, what we spend on PP federally is a drop in the bucket compared to agriculture and the military.
