You are asking me to answer a question based on your characterization of a post, not mine. You might as well be talking to yourself.

The example you gave was one of "Us VS them". Like you, they were manipulated into viewing a group as "the problem". They were fed sweeping generalization fallacies to strengthen their disdain for the group.

While I can understand the dislike for trump, you painted an entire group with a broad stroke. This is not only false, it reveals willingness to buy into the tribal, US VS THEM mindset that matched the example you gave.

So before atrocities can be committed, people need to view others as inferior, or "fools". Its not only false, its dangerous.

I accepted the results in both cases where people were voting for a facade.

As far as your last statement, I realize you are human and have moments of frustration. I also realize that I can be wrong and thats why my consistent position is one of minimal government interference. Being wrong is only a problem when government imposes the wrong on others.

Saying "You're always wrong" is not only a false statement, it is childish and a violation of forum rules. Please keep it honest and civil.

Gas is coming down. Republicans blew it. MAGA and Trumpism will be tossed to the dustbin of history.

And you're wrong on all counts.

Republican Party is the do nothing party: ban abortions, more tax cuts for the super rich and nothin's gonna 'trickle down'.
They have no solutions, no policies, their policy is the cult of personality, Donald Trump. And who is he? He's a threat to national security and an embarrassment stain on America who wants to terminate the constitution and his fans are being grifted (why does a billionaire need your money?).

And you can't handle that nor do you can you refute these facts.

Okay, you're wrong most of the time. It's possible you could be right, but I haven't seen much.

"Nuh uh!, Im right and you're wrong!" is not a valid argument. I understand your refusal to see facts, but this childish response is not like you. Trump would make such a statement.

It wasn't meant as an example as already explained.

    I wasn't manipulated.

Not sure what that means, but ...

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." - Joseph Goebbels

It's not about "us vs them" it's about millions of gullible fools being fed outrageous lies (see above) to get them to install a dangerous psychopath into a position of power.

Each time you explain it, you are criticizing your own actions. Tyrants cannot commit atrocities alone. They need people to view others as inferior, fools, etc. Just like you are doing.

Since you did not meet these people, the sweeping generalization fallacy you are using was fed to you. Your statement (In bold) contradicts itself. "Its not about us VS them, but THEY...."

    Nonsense.

Finally you agree with my me that fools are the tyrants' tool, their path to power. And their carrot is outrageous lies. Exactly what I pointed out in the first post you responded to me.

You're not making any analogy that makes any sense. I'm not a tyrant, I am in no position to gain power and I am not cultivating fools, just pointing them out.

I don't need to meet anyone to recognize what a fool is.

It wasn't "fed" to me, it is a historical fact, the opposite of a fallacy. It's something anyone with any reasonable intelligence learns to recognize because it always repeats itself. Only ignorant ones (i.e. fools) fall for outrageous lies strictly based on repetition and don't recognize they are being manipulated.

More nonsense, it's not about "they" either, it's about ignorance and deception used as a tool. It's actually you who wants to make it about us vs them.

The pot and the kettle had a similar exchange. This is what is known as a cognitive blind spot. You see it clearly when others do it, but can't/won't acknowledge your own sweeping generalization fallacy. "ALL (BLANK) IS (BLANK)" This fallacy is also used by racists, ageists, sexists, etc.

The truth is that they are not a "they" and are not fools even if you have been conditioned to see them that way. I may not agree with what they are voting for, but I understand why.

My daughter was a far left liberal all the way through college. After 1 year of paying her own expenses, she did a 180 and voted for Trump. Living in CA, she felt the burden imposed by the other party and decided to vote against them. Her background is in psychology and she works with people recovering from addiction and sexual abuse. Is she a fool?

I'm sure you know my position by now, no need to repeat myself.

Perhaps you meant to say that you consider their actions foolish and didn't mean to paint the entire group with a broad stroke. If thats the case, fair enough. If not, your are doing what you criticise.

Yes, I responded to the sweeping generalization fallacy you actually posted and did not put words in your mouth. This fallacy is also used by racists, sexists, ageists, etc. "All BLANK are "BLANK"

You did dodge my question, so here it is again:

My daughter was a far left liberal all the way through college. After 1 year of paying her own expenses, she did a 180 and voted for Trump. Living in CA, she felt the burden imposed by the other party and decided to vote against them. Her background is in psychology and she works with people recovering from addiction and sexual abuse. It does say a lot about the stupidity of the average voter they they continue to vote for Democrats who want to turn the country into a third world single party dictatorship which like most will have as it's chief characteristic poverty, homeless imprisonment for any who disagree with the ruling junta about much of anything.
