The Aceh province is increasing its human rights violations by adopting more and more harsh Sharia laws, most recently banning live music events in public!!!

"Drinking alcohol, adultery, homosexuality and public displays of affection outside of marriage are all banned in the conservative province, and now live music has been added to that list."

Sharia has taken strong roots in Malaysia, and is now spreading into Indonesia.

""In religious terms, the negativity brings evil to us," he said.
"Such as the mix between man and woman, and the street accidents after the concert.
"We have asked them not to hold it because it will spark pros and cons, rather than face the bloodshed we have decided to stop it."

Aceh punishes those who disobey with public lashings of the cane. On the streets of Jakarta the decision was met by disbelief from locals.
    "

The opinion of the people means nothing when authorities use violence and incarceration to oppress peoples basic human rights!! I feel sad for Indonesia that Aceh is falling to that diseased political ideology pretending to be a religion.

Actually I thought Indonesia was farther down the hole of Islam than this already.

They are just finishing up the extremism like no pubic music , so no entertainment???

No homosexuality, woo big surprise there Islam is bigotry personified...

And no displays affection for people outside of marriage? So how do you know if you love each other? Let me guess arranged marriages???

Basically a bad deal all around. And it's telling that Islam has so much control they can do this without the consent of the locals who now have to live in this bad place.
