https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucel...vid-19-coronavirus-emergency/?sh=3913ad3d4945 Lols! Masks? No go! Social distancing - don’t be silly! But the organisers are worried about toasters?
Trump has never taken the virus seriously. I'm not surprised he continues to hold these kind of events or put others at risk. That's who he is - it's always all about him. However, I have planned several large events and those types of signs are just part of it (the legal stuff).
Riiiiiiight. Trump enacted travel restrictions and your Democratic masters called him a racist and then encouraged everyone to attend parades and street fairs. Why can't leftists like you be honest?
Cases in Martha's Vineyard have gone through the roof and it's probably because of Barry's birthday extravaganza. Leftists are total hypocrites. You guys criticize Republicans for doing something and then give your Democratic masters a pass. With that said, Trump should not be holding these types of rallies and people should not be attending.
So you agree that it was a great idea for Barry to get hundreds of people together for his party. So be it.
No I asked for proof - something your post seems to be missing - along with factual information such as the fact the Obamas scaled back the invitation list at the last minute because they were concerned about the spread of the virus https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/04/us/politics/obama-cancels-60th-birthday-party.html Now are you telling me that this was the same as the Trump Rally? Held in the middle of an area experiencing a surge, an area with one of the lowest vaccination rates in America and an area which already has maxed out the available ICU beds? Anyone concerned with the public welfare would have required masks Trump didn’t
Ok, then by your standard, where is your PROOF that anyone at Trump's rally will catch Covid from attending?
As I have said the Obamas a) had a far smaller guest list than the Trump rally B) reduced that list further when there was a local spike C) would have required testing - so there would have been a smaller risk D) would have required vaccination again mitigating the risk Trumps rally on the other hand A) Was billed to be “huge” B) was held in an area currently experiencing not just a spike of a few cases but a full blown pandemic C) Held where there is a low vaccination rate D) Held in a state that has declared a state of emergency because of the lack of ICU beds https://www.businessinsider.com/tru...der-rally-in-cullman-alabama-2021-8?r=AU&IR=T And we know they were unvaccinated because https://www.newsweek.com/donald-tru...ncouraging-crowd-get-covid-19-vaccine-1621811
Welcome to the USA were people are free to gather and speech, change the direction of our country, and inspire one another to action. Some things are more important than just 'existing' and freedom is one of them. People there chose to be there and rally toward that future of a better America.
I dunno I think death might be a pretty hard curtailment of “freedom” or rather when it comes to logical measures in a pandemic “freedumb”
I'm not a leftist. I have stated many times that he was wrong for backing down to that. It was his call. He made it. He should have stood by it. Critics be damned. I'm also a generally calm and not reactionary so if you were looking for a fight, I'm not the one. I don't have to agree with you but I vehemently defend your right to Freedom of Speech. Opinion duly noted.
Trump enacted travel bans from ONE country ergo the NY outbreak was mostly European in origin Australia on the other hand brought in mandatory hotel quarantine and to date the total number of deaths in my state is seven
Didn't I just read something about them shutting it all down over one case or am I mixing up countries in my exhausted state of delirium at the moment? If so, that's some wicked mitigation. And we have people over here grabbing kids at schools, picking fights in parks, threatening to fire an entire school board and having debates about the microscopic changes in the molecular structure of a virus that is kicking our backsides.
We have our protestors too but they are getting scant sympathy when they are arrested and fined. NSW is still being hit hard with around 1000 cases a day but they are trying hard to get it back under control. We just got lucky with a premier ( our version of a governor) who has locked the border HARD
I haven't been feeling too well and can't see the specialist until late next month. So, I can't sleep because I'm in physical pain constantly. I was slammed by a poster for saying that choosing to live in a society is agreeing to live by the rules of that society. I forget all the different ways I was called a stupid bastard. lol But your post proves there clearly is some validity in that approach. Our President told us he hoped we could all go to church for Easter Sunday last year. In this moment, here today, I understand why he lied to us. He didn't do it out of any sense of empathy (or his later actions would have followed that path) but I'm no longer angry with him about *that* specific lie. I can't really conceptualize what would have happened if he told us the truth back then. Then we get to add in our situation in Afghanistan on top of it all. I asked myself how is it possible that our military could leave behind their own family and friends to go protect other people's families and friends but those of us that live under the protection of their bravery and sacrifice can't work together to protect one another? I've been thinking about that all day and I haven't come up with anything even remotely close to an answer. Right now, I really needed to know that some people somewhere have found a way to make it happen. I guess that was a very long way of saying "Thank you, Bowerbird" for replying to my post tonight.
I'm not aware of Trump caring about anything or anybody other than Trump - pre-vaccine or post-vaccine.
