First of all, a fetus is not a baby, obviously. As to your specific argument, our law allows for all sorts of killing of others for various reasons. In Florida, you can shoot someone off your porch for having rung the doorbell - simply because you got scared!! In fact, all over America we allow policemen to shoot kids in the back. So, what are you going to claim? Are you going to claim that there is no threat of psychological, physical, and financial wellbing in demanding (both immeiate and long term) harm andthat a rape or incest victim must be required by government law to dedicate 9 months of their lives to bring a rapists fetus to term? Sorry, but that is just plain nutty. If some rape victime WANTS to do that, due to their own beliefs or whatever, fine. But, you don't get to use the government to force that on rape victims.
I can't make exceptions for evil. That is like saying it's ok to lie if the outcome is better. A lie is still a lie and it's wrong. Abortion is wrong on every level no matter the reason. However if the mother is going to die thus there is going to be death regardless than that could be a exception to save the mother but again I'm glad I'm not making that call.
Like saying a poster said something they didn't ?? That kind of lie??? Only your opinion... Yes, isn't it so much easier to pontificate from a position where this will never affect you or enter your life... I'm glad you're not making any calls about abortion... At least you're not a hypocrite but think even raped women should be punished by losing their right to bodily autonomy and forced to gestate...….a sentence longer than any rapist gets... ...and you think that's right??? Sounds like you don't think rape is such a bad thing....
If an axe-murderer knocks your door and ask you to point out to him where your children are, it would not be wrong to lie to him, would it? Lying is okay to protect your privacy. But, this is an entirely different topic. Speaking of evil, opposing abortion is evil. So, then you do not think abortion is wrong on every level.
You seem to be trying to conflate privacy with saving life, to support your argument of associating privacy with taking life. It's a very twisted train of logic. "Do you want to save life? Then support privacy. Do you support privacy? Then allow women to kill." That's basically what your argument here condenses down to. I shouldn't have even wasted the effort pointing this out, since it should be so obvious, but am doing so just in case.
"Do you want to save life and protect basic human rights? Then support privacy. Do you support privacy? Then allow women to kill a growth in their own body....a body that belongs to them NOT YOU, NOT the government." Want to destroy women's basic right of bodily autonomy and privacy and turn them into slaves....then ban abortion.
