I may take some heat for this but in my opinion Birth Control Pills are for recreational usage. This is based on the fact that sex, or whatever you want to call it, is for the propagation of the human species. Now if a woman takes a birth control pill it means that she does not, at this time, want to use sex for propagating the human species but is using sex as a recreational act. Now I know that there are those that say it is less expensive to provide birth control than supporting the unwanted child. Again I suspect that I will be criticized for saying this, but Aspirins are considerably less expensive and also help stop STD whereas birth control pills do not.

I'm good with that providing the people getting the drugs aren't on welfare. You work, you get the drugs. As it is now, we give recreational drugs free to deadbeats.

I don't normally comment on spelling...but considering the topic and the misspellings in the title

"Should Recreactional Prharmaceutical Drugs Be Given Free Of Charge".....I found the spelling ironic.

Really shallow... simple minded description of why a female would take birth control, I wont get into why because you either are trolling or your just that narrowminded.

How the hell does aspirin stop STD's?

This has got to be a trolling statement, it makes no sense and is completely void of intelligence.

By the way.. no recreational pharmacueticals should not be free. This includes alcohol.

    I voted no.

I don't believe birth control is or should be considered as a recreational drug. Who are you, or anyone, to determine was sex is and isn't for?

However, I completely recognize the point you mentioned in your OP that paying for birth control is a far better and cheaper solution than waiting for unwanted pregnancies to come to term, and then having to support some of those children and their families.

But, I also am not sure that I feel birth control pills should be free.

How about a compromise where they aren't free, but you get a tax deduction for them(this may even be possible already, I admittedly don't know).

This whole notion is moronic. A woman can still have sex no matter what she is holding between her knees. Didn't this start with a quote from Rush Limbaugh or some similar idiot? 'Nuff said.
