We need a mega-project to unite around to productively divert 4.3 trillion USA petro - dollars as they will no longer be needed in the trade of oil.........

China's 'petro-yuan': The end of the dollar hegemony?
Shanghai is reportedly taking the first steps to pay for imported oil in reminbi, or yuan, instead of the US dollar.

If I am wrong.... I am sorry...... but I really am convinced that
a Carbon Tax or Cap and Trade System would tend to be taken over
by bureaucrats and politicians........... but large scale desalination of ocean water for
agriculture...... for towns.... and even for reforestation projects is a response to climate change that sure seems to be win - win - win - win - win for pretty well everybody that I can think of...........

And now that China is moving against the USA petro - dollar...... It sure looks to me like we need a practical
mega - project to cooperate on?!

I admit that I am biased due to the fact that the lake that our home is on is classified as tidal water..... so the threat of rising ocean levels concerns me more than it would somebody who lives far inland!

China's 'petro-yuan': The end of the dollar hegemony?

    Build it in
    :flagcanada:

    Pipe the water to California

easy peasy, it's all downhill from :flagcanada:

During the drought, the current one, some years back,
:flagcanada: William Shatner (Captain Kirk) pushed for fresh water
    piped for :flagcanada: to California.
    Y'gonna argue with Captain Kirk?

Now that is an intriguing idea..........?????????!

I have been fascinated by parapsychology and the paranormal since the 1970's.......
I have a really strange idea on how the Book of Revelation might perhaps be
fulfilled........in a parallel universe / example of applied Multiverse Theory and/ or a fulfillment of
Ezekiel chapter 37................. by sincerely spiritual people who........
take prophecies seriously............ but believe that because our Creator really does love us.......
that Creator...... in non-linear time might just be willing to do all the prophecies of the world .... and of all nations.....
    in a shockingly win - win - win - win - win - win - win manner..........?!

Artistic Hollywood style "Armageddon" could bring world out of recession?!

Did you mean "piped from" rather than "piped for?"

If..... .one of the only ways to stop China and George Soros and others from
devaluing the USA petro- dollars is for Canada to borrow them........
and direct them in a manner that is win -win - win - win - win - win - win for both Canadians as well as Americans.........

.... then your idea really could work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you think of a better river to pump the desalinated water into than the Columbia?

I have never been further west than Montreal, Quebec and Quito, Ecuador.

Even if President Trump gave us an extremely low rate.... such as one or even zero percent..... if we Canadians can figure out a way to prevent devaluation of the USA dollar....... (of for example ten percent)...... then even if we paid only one percent interest...... we would really be paying America the equivalent of an eleven percent interest rate......

I wonder how difficult it would be to get the desalinated water to:
Got to read about at least two others.....

Our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seems to be far, far, far too close to Islamic groups .... BUT.....
I have to admit that if he would play his cards in a wise manner there are ways in which his
connections with Islamic Canadian groups could actually turn out to be a really good thing for
virtually all Canadians..........and frankly for pretty much everybody on this planet?!

Here is an ancient Islamic prediction that people all across the political spectrum here in Canada could agree would be a win - win - win - win - win decision for many nations...........

Both Canada and Australia could cooperate on borrowing all 4.3 TRILLION USA petro dollars and come up with a plan that would be good for America and the whole world......

The results of the following poll are quite encouraging. The majority of members of this forum are obviously not mindless followers of Mr. Al Gore:

The Sahara Forest Project...and saving New Orleans and Florida from rising oceans!

Is turning deserts green a good response to climate change?

So.....investment in large scale ocean water desalination facilities in Australia...... is great news for thousands of people living along Canada's Bay of Fundy.

I think that the use of the dollar as the world's reserve currency will end sooner rather than later because of trump's myopic and ignorant notions.
But it will end eventually as others surge ahead of the US.
Right now, China is the best bet for becoming the world's next superpower and they are working hard to replace the US as the world's indispensable nation all around the planet and outer space. And they are engaging very effectively with most of the rest of the world.
Meanwhile, trump forces America to abandon its international engagements and complains that our allies are not paying their way, ignoring the massive benefits that have resulted from America's leadership position and its historical shouldering of a bigger share of the burdens.
What we did historically was in support of our best interests and now we should be working thoughtfully to adjust and realign to the changing world order to keep supporting our best interests, not attacking and insulting partners and allies on twitter and starting puerile trade wars and then having to give welfare sops to the industries that he hurts.
This is the same guy that ran several of his companies into bankruptcy, who was refused any further credit by the US banks because of his crap business deals, and who then sold himself to the russians to stay afloat (and they now apparently have him by the shorthairs). He will probably damage all of America's real long-term interests to keep his foreign creditors happy and to pander to his poorly educated hordes who just want to wallow in mindless vengeance and hatred of all that's different. They are the best examples of the concept of the useful idiot in politics today.
I love how Sacha Baron Cohen has been literally pulling the pants down on these reactionary racist, misogynist, incredibly stupid people in his new show, Who is America? It's painful to watch at times but it's a powerful program.
And I think that trump is doing it on purpose because at heart, he hates America- its people and its institutions and its businesses who have always derided him as a vain buffoon and dismissed him as a crass scoundrel.
Notice the deplorable kakistocracy that he assembled to run the country. Half of them had to resign and the rest are embarrassing and clueless characters.
The November mid-terms will be the best barometer of how well trump has succeeded in coarsening and dumbing down America.

California does not need desalination they just need to stop exporting their fresh water in food. Food needs to be decentralised production rather than band aid approach that is used today.

Trading oil for fresh water is retarded.

Ummmmmmmmm.... .I have never heard that theory before........
I hope that you are being sarcastic....... because our winters up here in Nova Scotia, Canada do not permit us to
grow the fruits and veggies that we can buy from California! So if your idea is serious...... it is kind of like........ to hell with those
Canadians and others who are buying food from California...... they are the cause of your drought???????

If the United States pays for it why would we put it in Australia? It would be one thing if the whole of the United States had so much water we did not know what to do with it, but that is not the case.

Because the USA would not be paying for it...........
I am hoping that Canada, Australia and Israel will get together.... borrow all 4.3 trillion USA petro-dollars that George Soros, China and others are dumping on the markets..........
in what sure looks to me like a plan to make them go all Weimar / Zimbabwe / Venezualian?!

If.... President Trump and Congress agree to a low interest rate on this loan.... one or two percentage points perhaps...... then if Canada, Israel and Australia can prevent Soros, China and others from devaluing the USA dollar by ten percent..... .then we will have actually earned USA taxpayers the equivalent of eleven or twelve percent on that 4.3 trillion dollar loan...... Not as much as President Trump himself paid back on the Taj Majal...... but not moldy none the less!

Andrew Scheer, I am willing to take on either M. P. Sean Fraser or M.P. Bill Casey.

Greenhouses and artificial lighting will solve these problems, I'm deadly serious exporting water especially when it's going to Europe or Asia is a bad idea.

We need to get used to concentrated OJ again for those of us living outside the zones.

Fresh water will be a bigger issue than global warming for the next generation we need to take this seriously and desalination is not taking it seriously it's behaving like children!

In my opinion.... President Donald J. Trump is by far the best USA President since President Reagan..... and I feel that he was set up for his role by the Being of Light of NDE fame!

Did going bankrupt in '91 prepare Mr. Trump for the Presidency?

The being of light of NDE fame, G-d or Satan?
