I'm voting "yes" only because on some rare occasions I've seen the Forum's software make it impossible to create an embedded set of polling questions. The moderators should delete these threads so that the author can make another attempt to create a complete thread later when the editing software has straightened itself out (or whatever it does....).

I'll add this: this Forum's software/editor/database tools work MUCH, MUCH better than they did, say, three years ago. Now, if only we could get rid of the 'nanny 'profanity' censor.... Ah, but that's probably asking too much.

No. One can express his opinion and go in detail without a poll. Unless one is interested in numbers which on a site like this one means little to nothing since it is not scienctific, why bother with a poll. Just let people express what they think. That is enough for me.

I had a poll deleted from the 'Latest News' simply because it did not have enough sentences!

It should be any kind of priority for the mods given all the other trash they have to deal with on the forum but given this is a specific section for opinion polls it makes sense not to have threads that don’t include one. Threads that were meant to have polls but don’t (due to technical issues or user error) could be fixed with agreement of the OP but threads that were clearly never opinion polls in the first place should be move to appropriate sections if they otherwise meet thread opening guidelines or removed.

I kind of agree with a previous comment that polls here generally don’t mean very much and seem to be used more often to push a particular political point, with deliberately biased or limited options and generally only serve to start arguments.
