I would assume that James is mindful of such things, and that her case has got it's ducks in a row

Yeah, there are some issues that might hit her in the face on appeal, we shall see.

I think it will all depend on how the appellate court views her prosecutorial philosophy, that Trump's crimes are actual crimes against the state, or they side with conservatives who argue 'no victim, no crime'. I agree with her, there is a victim, I mean, it's the whole reason for Exec 6312 law, enacted a long time ago, i.e., it's the integrity of the system and Trump et al are violating, and if everyone did it as bad as Trump did it, the system would be in the *******.

What I expect to happen is that the appellate court will cut down the judgement, maybe half.

I don't think they will mess with the finding of fact.

Kevin o'leary has an opinion, NY can do fine without him.

Did you read the transcripts, court rulings, on Carrol?

I wouldn't make such anemic sweeping opinions about why the Jury sided with the prosecution. It would have to be more than just 'her word against his', there are the contemporaneous evidence, his bragging about the very thing she is accusing him of, 25 someone accusing him of same.

Let's face it, Trump is a perv and it is precisely consistent with who he is that he would do such a thing, and thus, I believe her.

And then there was the time that Trump flew a kid across the country and his private jet free of charge who needed treatment for cancer.

Trump also had a long history of philanthropic and charitable actions but of course the Trump haters don't want to hear any of that they'll either say it didn't happen or it doesn't matter

Should we (or the courts) show Trump some 'mercy'?

We should decry and oppose political prosecution everywhere it raises its ugly head.

    Mercy?
Trump is getting more free press than he could ever hope for... Corrupt NY courts are not voting for Trump in November, The American voter is, and they see what is happening.... The "court of public opinion" will speak "BIGLY" in November.

You start from the assumption that each of your points is somehow an outrage involving Trump. You cannot point to any similar sized corporation that hasn't been sued, filed bankruptcy, and been subject to law violations.
And you cannot point to any similar sized company that has been forced to deal with the litany of media attacks and "investigations" for almost a decade. Ever since, you know, Trump came down the escalator.

Your list of points fails to make the point about Trump, or to justify even asking does Trump deserve "mercy".
Trump deserves equal protection under the law.
For you to even ask the question and then try to answer it in the negative only underscores you as part of the "get Trump no matter what it takes" mission.

    Nonsense.

Lets be honest. Nobody truly likes Joe.

There are only people that hate Trump.

Seems like a post desperate to frame a strawman. Remember, reality is a winner, embrace it. Trump, not so much but he's got a MAGA bible for sale.

    Joememtum is real ;)

    Strawman? How so?

I suspect you must not understand the term's meaning, but it will be interesting to see how you rationalize this to be the case.

And now the second strawman grasp, this one seems weaker but Joementum is a real thing. It's the thing that forces denial mode in the Trump mindset. :)

Asking for clarification is also a strawman in your eyes? Yeesh.

Is it safe to assume that you are not going to explain how you think my first post or the second asking for clarification qualifies as a strawman?

LOL...That's what all the correct people do. They refuse to explain how the other person is wrong (sarcasm).

I don't chase silly rabbits down desperate holes. That's on you.
Trump's a loser, that's reality and Joementum is building again, that's hard for the Trump crowd to deal with. Joementum baby, it's a real thing.

By "silly rabbits", you mean you refuse to explain how the other person is wrong when calling you out for a bogus claim of a strawman argument.

As I said, that what ALL the correct people do. You make a compelling argument. Everyone believes you (sarcasm)

As I clearly stated, I don't chase desperate strawmen down rabbit holes made for one. Light?!
Joe's building momentum, hence Joementum baby! Trump a loser, stark reality but reality is still a winner.

LOL...The only rabbit hole for one is the one you created for yourself with your unsupportable strawman claim.

What do you think that term means?

For generations, Americans complained about the wealthy and the elitists not being held responsible for their actions. They complained about the two-tier justice system and how those with power and money don't have to deal with consequences. Now, one is finally being held accountable and some of those same people that complained are losing their minds.

Yeah, yeah... we get the gist, you want to say the word Joementum. JOEMENTUM. JOEMENTUM. You think there is lot and lots of JOEMENTUM.

    There you go.

Now what do you think the term strawman means?

You should probably learn its meaning if you are going to hang around political chat rooms.

My point has been proven. Your position has been adequately exposed.

    My work here is done.

Good luck with that Joementum son. For your own sake, you should probably look up what strawman means. You don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to, but just look it up. It will serve you well in the future.

Dante's Law, AKA, the internet cloak of the failed strawmen and worse. Joementum Baby is a real thing, and, Trump's still a loser. Embrace reality, it's a winner and so is Joe!
