Obama is one of the worst presidents we've had, with wildly growing deficits, debt, and government controls. Obama continues the massive wars overseas, murdering thousands of people. He signed a bill into law which gives him the authority to murder any person at any time. He has extended most of Bush's tyrannical policies, such as the PATRIOT Act, the wars, the spending, the deficits, etc., etc., and has added more on top of that. Although Bush was highly, deservingly condemned by the left for such horrible policies, there are very rarely war protests now that Obama is in office. It amazes me that Liberals will switch purely because of the letter next to the name of the man who is perpetuating the very policies they so heavily ridiculed. But ohhh, are the Liberals talking about how great Obama is for "supporting gay marriage." Seriously? This is what they drag out to say how great of a president he is? They look the other way when all of the murderous horrible policies of his are implemented, and I'm sure they'll turn their head when he passes CISPA, but it's all good and well because he "supports" gay marriage. He never even said he would take measurements to legalize gay marriage; he just said that if states want to legalize marriage, he would support it. Does anyone genuinely feel that this means that gay marriage will be legal in all the states now? This is just as useless as if Donald Trump came out in support of gay marriage. Now, the president saying this has successfully turned the heads of a lot of people in an area that is irrelevant to federal issues, since, according to his very position and the current status of what it is, it's a state issue. What about the collapse of our economy? What about the thousands of people being killed? What about the fact that the president can legally murder you at will? No, it's all good because he supports gay marriage. Marriage should be a private rather than a political issue. Get the government out of marriage completely -- no benefits for gay or straight couples. Gay people can have relationships and call it what they want, as well as groups of people, etc. The government should not violently force churches to accept gay marriage, nor force gay couples to not label themselves as married, or prevent churches from accepting gay couples. Get the government out of it.
You are taking a very extremist position to say that government should not give benefits to married couples. No pension checks or social security checks to widows? No joint tax returns? No joint bankruptcy? No intestacy laws recognizing a spouse as an heir? Are you sure about this position because it's really extreme.
That's just socialism. I think you and I who have money should care for the widows, orphans, and people who are poor.
A man earns a pension his entire life, and then when he dies his wife gets a pension check until she dies. According to LibertarianFW, we should no longer give pensions to widows. Do you understand why that is a ridiculous position to take?
