The reason this is in the Elections part of the forum is in context to campaign advertising. A silly female journalist asked the press secretary why President Obama will not call The Duck by name (and neither will I). If I were the press secretary I'd have said this: Because by naming him, we'd be doing him a favor by giving him free advertising as you are right now!
