I think it's better for people to wear clothing in public. Occasional exposure can/does happen, but unfettered nakedness in public just isn't a good idea.

 

They obviously have a sexual violence problem over there for this to resonate - the guy exposing himself was being a jerk

 

Someone butt reamed you in a divorce, huh? You didn't get a good lawyer. It's not your wife, it's her lawyer. Once the contract is signed she has nothing to do with any of the motions or what happens. People always say: "Why do you deserve $500 an hour???" And then when they're celebrating time outside of prison or getting maintenance and a settlement and have ballet lessons for the kids paid for then you realize why.

Admittedly, when I learned this event in Brazil was an anti-rape protest, I thought the op had lied.. I thought it was the slutwalk.

Turns out it was the slutwalk.

I understand the premise with why they came up with the name and concept. But if you don't know that backround story about some cop in Toronto and what he said, which is a fringe extremist minority point of view anyway, then can you not see how people might get the wrong idea.

I fully understand they want to protest against rape and the misconceptions behind it.

But can you guys not see how underdressing and calling yourselves the "slutwalk" might give people the completely wrong idea about who you are, what you're doing and why you're doing it?

Can we be sure this man who exposed himself to them was even aware that it is rape that these women were protesting?

They sound like an organization for sexual liberation, trying to encourage girls to be more promiscuous. They are called the slutwalk!!! Understand?

 

I'm telling you man, if a leftist communist does it it's ok, but when a decent Christian conservative does it its bad. we need to stop that. vote Romney and Mr. Bean.

 

The larger women's movements have become infiltrated with people that (I have no other explanation for ) must drink LSD. They do not understand how the brain works, that you can't take back words like "slut", that sexual liberation and sexual promiscuity are not the same things at all, and have no real sense of self, purpose, or respect for women that do not agree.

It is no different than the jihadists that make all Muslims look like killers in training. These women are loud, vocal, and the human picks up on the loudest, thinks its the strongest and predominant, and then poses the word "slut" "feminist" and (now possibly "crazy") to women.

Everyone should read up on neurobiology and neurolinguistics before thinking that ideas like self-labeling "slut" is a good one.

I have nothing against protesting rape and misconceptions behind it, and everything against rape... But really the point remains.

How can you take an organization called "slutwalk" seriously? They need to revamp their image. A complete overhaul.. They will get nowhere like this.

It's like "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) riot".. They might have legitimate grievances against Putin for all you know.. But how does having sex with chickens get you anywhere?

I believe the op is referring to the notion some feminists have that they should be able to go topless like men can. Of course if he is he is totally undermining the rest of his argument. If he isn't I'm confounded I've heard no feminist or feminist organization that advocates women should be able to walk around totally nude. Perhaps he can provide such an example, but I doubt it.

Since I doubt that Fox "News" reports accurately on the topic, the "Slut Walk" events are focused around ending the "slut shaming" that is a standard tactic against women in the case of sexual assault. It began in Canada:

The old "Well she wouldn't have gotten raped if she was dressed that way."
