I have seen black widows on the windows outside, but so far none inside. I am terrified of scorpions too.

We don't have poisonous spiders or scorpions here either thankfully. I don't think I could survive in a place that had tarantulas! Lol!

The fire ants killed most of the scorpions and the lizards eat most of the insects and spiders around my house. From Spring to Fall, my house is covered with lizards. They even get in my attic and eat bugs. We love them.

I can't wait to let my chickens loose all over the back yard to eat bugs. They already compete for any bug that flies into their coop.

I read that kudzu was imported by some Japanese guy who thought it would be perfect for feeding cattle. The cattle wouldn't eat it and the rest is history.

I read somewhere that it was imported by our department of agriculture to control erosion. I have been looking for some cheap land overrun with the stuff. My goats would be in heaven.

I just had to cover the top of my chicken run. Hawks like chickens too. My wife likes her chickens like I like my goats.

I only have 5 chicks because my run space is limited. I have 32 square feet beneath my portable coop. Once I'm sure my dogs will cooperate, I will let them roam. If I can't trust my dogs, I may build a portable pen and put it next to the coop. Here is the coop.

I don't even know how many chickens we have. It is over thirty. We have two...a hen and rooster...that just moved into our goat pasture from somewhere else. They roost in the trees at night. I am thinking about starting up the incubator again.

I'm new to this, but once I get this down, I'll have room for about 10 chickens and that's all the eggs I can handle anyway. I'm using the Mama Heating Pad method and brooding them in the coop. It's working out great and they don't smell up the house.

I do want to put out a live trap for coyotes and bobcats behind my back fence. They hunt every night in the pasture behind my house.

Someone named Smartie invited me here from another political debate site that we won't talk about but I don't see Smartie anywhere so i'm confused so I thought I would write the longest run on sentence possible under the circumstances in keeping with several traditions of this site and others where angst and passion collide in breathtakingly stupid posts posturing politics [and there I introduced an whatchamacallit, thingy wherem a series of disassociated words all start with the same letter to avoid getting too boring.

High Smartie, where do I find MMC?

the dog might consider them part of the family and protect them. One of our border collies would even try to herd them.
