    @Talon if your blue bird is the eastern blue bird he will put on a show for you. We had to put bags over the outside rear view mirrors because a little male kept attacking them. He thought his reflection was another bird. They love meal worms if you want to feed them.

    Most of our potatoes are up. I hope we don't get an Easter snap with frost. We just planted corn, squash, cucumbers and beans, when the weather gets a bit warmer we will plant okra. I have some pepper plants that I am holding back on planting for a while.

    In my neck of the woods we always get a late frost but I could have planted potatoes. I plant sweet corn when the soil temps in my area warms up. I have heard native Americans planted corn when the buds on the trees were as big as a squirrels ear.

    Cruised the river road, saw hundreds of people, and tho't to myself.. "must be spring break", waited 2 hours to get a table, but the food was worthit and the traveling zoo made the wait entertaining.

    Coincidentally, that same storm will be arriving in the Old Dominion during our morning commute. Possible tornadoes in the late afternoon, early evening....:hiding:

    When I was really young my dad and I would sing a song about Maggie Murphy and her dirty britches. "When Maggie Murphy died she called me to her side, oh the dirty britches Maggie Murphy wore."
    Years later my sister and I were talking about that prayer, Now I lay me down to sleep. So I said the prayer the way I use to say it "Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Dear Lord please bless and I would say the names of people in the family who passed away. The last name I said was Maggie Murphy. My sister started laughing at me and said, We dont know anyone named Maggie Murphy. That was a song you sang with Daddy". We both laughed so hard over that.

    Yup, they're Eastern Bluebirds and coincidentally two of 'em were going at it on one of my truck's rear view windows. Judging from their antics I think they saw their reflections in the window, too. They can be aggressive little buggers, and it's that magical time of year.... :smile:

    They're cute when they're young. One of our neighbors up the road has some goats and they've got kids frolicking around.
