When we came back across the Pyrenees we took the highest pass over 3000 meters and went through Andorra which is a little principality of about 20k people. It's mostly duty free shops. Sister gave me £10 to get wine for her and I bought 11 bottles.
Time we'd finished shopping it was dark so we drove out of town and found a place to park up for the night rather than drive down not able to see anything on the twisty road.
It was cold enough to light the woodburner even though it was spring and in the morning we were delighted to find it had snowed overnight.
I got out of the truck and walked about 3 steps through the 6 inch snow and the on the 4th step I was suddenly up to my chest in it!
I couldn't see the fact there was a steep drop as the snow had drifted to make it look like a gentle slope.
That got the adrenaline going. Didn't need any caffeine after that.

I know that. Raedwald brought them.
He's stopped doing it now though, I think I made the naughty list for throwing them straight into the hedge.
Raedwald muttered something about me being an ungrateful dog (which is the equivalent of the c word for him) and I never got another whole one. Just the occasional severed head or a liver.

A German, an Italian and an American walk into a bar.
There would normally be an Englishman in this joke but he's still in Qatar.

    edit. Ooops wrong thread.
Meant to put that in the World Cup thread.

Commonly known as 'head no body or body no head.' I've been left just the bunny tail too. Nothing else.

Einstein (RIP) used to remove the tails of the Blue Tailed lizards that would dart around on the deck. Wouldn't kill them, just snapped their tails off. (They can regrow them.) The bothersome part is the tails will flop around on their own for a minute or two after separation. That was a bit more than I am comfortable with.

Fleetwood (Manx), a great and awesome hunter and protector of the household , long will his name be remembered, most impressive offering was six rabbits, heads surgically removed, in a line, and in a grid with the inrails piled in a perfect pyramid (as tho' his little paws had patted them so), and then the feet and skin. He would follow his master around and he could be sicced on other lesser animals, it was really funny when he (Fleetwood) dominated a loud mouth (Karen in the making) girls dog (whom she thought to sic on the Master.. Fleetwood)

Boudica once chased an SAS captain's dog across the parade ground in front of a whole canteen full of soldiers.
    I've never been so proud.

Got some upgrades for my bike recently. Got the little LED spotlights mounted right on the front fender near the fork and I also installed a proper wiring harness with two relays and two fuses and a switch for white to Amber. Makes a big difference. Pretty much as bright as the stock headlight. It's hard for a motorist to try and triangulate the speed and approach distance of a motorcycle with only one light.

Then I got my back cargo rack and also the side racks so you can carry saddlebags. 270 damn dollars later..... But they're made for that particular model of bike and you can't just find them anywhere.

If anyone ever tells you that you don't need beer or that beer is not good for you, get rid of them... You simply don't need that sort of negativity in your life !!!

I heard quite possibly the poorest excuse for not doing a job that I have ever heard....

I asked a coworker why they did not mop the floor before they left..... Because there was a puddle of water on it....

It's like people can't even be bothered to put enough effort into making a half-ass decent excuse anymore.

It snowed three times on us in Breckenridge. It was so awesome to be back in snow again. Then we went downtown, to Main St, and all the nasty slush was ever present. The Aha moment hit. LOL.

This was our tank. Twice, husband couldn't get it completely up the driveway, even though it has 4-wheel and all wheel drive. Had to wait for the plow.

We spent close to $300 for warm coats, scarves, hats & gloves that will now live in the closet for how many years? My husband and I have our old winter coats at his mom's, in Kansas. They are both about 30 years old and still in great condition. Ah, the cost of living where it's always hot.
