You guys are all making me smile this morning.

This is a good bar.

 

Smarty!!!! It's intense in that they want you to be speedy but alas, we've not received a lot of training. Training is all over the place. I've learned some stuff, but am nowhere near as expert as I intend to be. It's tough to go from a department where I understood most everything to one where I know very little. Hopefully they'll get their training butts in gear and I'll get a chance to learn more! Dog days of summer is perfect, as we are heading right into those this weekend!

Daughter is home for a visit from Africa, but I think she's pretty tired of mom right now. Oh well. She seems to be doing well though and got through her depression and is ready to go back and face the final year!

So, what's happenin? Is everyone into the Olympics this week?

You'll get there, g/f... just hang tough! I was doing something the other day and remembered how totally foreign it seemed to me when I first came here. Now it's like second nature. Amazing how we adapt!

Nobody's been saying much about the Olympics. I've only watched it hit & miss because I forget that it's on. Caught some beach volleyball the other day... that 'sport' is a trip! Gotta be the men's fav!!!

BTW, have you ever seen these hot dog eating competitions? Is that gross or what?

 

Just slightly crispy, but I'll admit , and don't beat me bacteria police, that when I'm on the run and haven't eaten (a lot) I'll just grab a raw one outa the fridge and munch way.

 

lol, I'm sure everyone had likely eaten one like that at least once.

I haven't eaten one in a very long time, but it was grilled, and kinda black (you know, the cancer causing stuff)... best dam frank I had ever eaten!

...nice to see you return to the bar. It's the place for cultural education. LOL

 

Pet peeve #836...

Feeling guilty about that ¢49 bunch of bananas I just had to have from the market a few days ago, laying on the counter (untouched) turning brown. So, I attempt to break one from the bunch... and half peel the other four in the process!



...I think I'll put them in a skillet and just burn their asses up! lol

 

Why go through the motion? He's faster making banana flambe.

Apparently, I can't even detach a #*$%^*! banana from the bunch, do you really think I should attempt a cake?! lol

Although I have thought about the "banana cake" since you mentioned it the other day/week. I've never had it before.
