How dishonest. There is a certain airbase in Turkey. A significant U.S military base. There is history between the Turks and the Kurds. Bad blood. Sometimes in life you are left with two bad choices. You don't want the U.S military kicked out of Turkey, do you?

Whether you like him or hate him, you won't find a president in the U.S history who had more domestic enemies than Trump. It's astonishing that his administration is still functioning. Not only functioning, it's functioning well. Furthermore, I believe the most U.S soldiers in Syria and Iraq died cleaning up Obama's mess left behind. His administration even allowed the U.S ambassaddor in Libya to be killed in the most brutal way. He was butt raped, dragged through the streets like an animal and publicly lynched. Unheard of.

From Afhganistan, not from Turkey. Turkey is strategically important. Trump had to make the choice between the Turks and the Kurds. He chose the less bad one. By the way, I blame the U.S liberals for allowing Erdogan to become the dictator he is. One of the biggest failures of Obama's administration. Obama's administration abysmally failed in Libya and Syria.

Wow, I thought this was a joke thread until I double checked you (no offense).

That is amazing.... If I were Erdogan, that would go directly into my circular filing system. I certainly wouldn't bother responding.

Next attempt from Trump will have the following section.

I don't want full scale war... do you?? Check one

    ----- Yes

    ----- No

    ------ Maybe

Then somebody can pass it back to Trump during Study Hall...

It's times like this I actually miss John Kelly....

The best example of what's wrong with this letter is that Turkey invaded the day after they received it. Trump's bellicose blather only confirmed to Erdogan that Trump is a very weak man, easily bullied. Nothing will come of this.

PS. The letter was from Trump, not the United States of America. Thank God for that much anyway.

I missed the date. So Erdogan ignored Trump completely. Does any leader of another country take anything Trump says seriously!

Any POTUS could have had that meeting if they had wanted to. They just realized it would mean nothing except helping legitimatize NKs current political regime.

    And they were right.

I truly suspect he has a degree of neurological deterioration not a true Alzheimer’s but a variant such as a frontal lobe dementia. It would explain the impulsiveness, lack of socially appropriate behaviour and the deterioration in his fine motor skills

More evidence that the left-wingers have nothing but vitriolic pure hatred for Trump. Sad.

So, Obama wasn't "a very weak man" with his "red line" ultimatum?

And you want Trump to start another war?

Which is how you write when writing to Foreigners who's English is their second language.

I have to do the same when communicating with our non-English speaking Foreign offices.
