I'm tired of going in circles with people who say homosexuality is wrong, or that gay marriage is wrong. So here is an infographic that will allow you opponents of homosexuality and/or gay marriage to go in circles with yourselves in the event that I am not at my keyboard. Enjoy!

and the point of this thread?

IMO, the gay movement still has a lot of work ahead of it namely changing definitions of more words

You've already gotten it accepted by the media to change the definition of phobia to be whatever you want it to be.

Phobia is defined correctly for every word except when it comes to gay sex, then it gets its own definition

next comes the words "normal" "deviant" and "perverse"

96.6% of adults have heterosexual sex. It is thus "normal" behavior to engage in heterosexual sex thus making gay sex "abnormal"

that is a perfect use of the term and absolutely correct

Gay behavior is also "deviant" or "perverse" behavior because again, it deviates from the norm.

I dunk my burgers into a milk shake when eating them and that is abnormal, deviant and perverse

Nature creates men with a wiener (not anthony) and women with vagina. The wiener is intended for insertion into the vagina. That is normal behavior. Yes, we've seen male dogs hump other male dogs but that is abnormal as well

So, your next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to continue trying to redefine definitions because otherwise you'll call "normal" people "bigots"

And we all know that we can't be called bigots by y'all

I thought it was pretty clear. Most who fight against gay rights, do so for their religious views on how they interpret the Bible. Ironically your response misses the point entirely. Rather than talk about what the Bible says about homosexuality, you go on a long speech about what is normal and what is abnormal.

And the antigay movement has a lot of work ahead in defining God's Word.

    What is a phobia?

This example you give would only truly mirror the situation if dipping your hamburger into a milk shake was made illegal. Or the manager of the McDonald's comes over to you and says, "Uh, sir, we're gonna have to ask that you stop doing that. The other customers are becoming uncomfortable. So if you could either stop or take your business elsewhere."

Or better yet, you're just not a customer. McDonald's (or wherever the heck you want to go, let's just use McD's here) won't let you buy their food. You can send your friend up to the counter, because he's normal, he doesn't dip hamburgers in shakes like a "pervert". So he's allowed to buy stuff.

Or, let's be fair and actually make it more debatable. Because I often get a value meal and got a milkshake with the meal instead of a soft drink or iced tea.

And even then I thought, the first time I did that, I was like, They're not going to let me do that. The milkshake is not a drink. And they're not going to do something that would enable perverts that like dipping their hamburgers in their shakes. So there's no way-

    "Medium or large, sir."

"Uh, large." Wow, look at that. I guess they don't care. They're not bigoted against burger-shake-dippers.

Yeah, and so what do you want to do about that? You just want to point it out to people? Just, "Hey, don't do that. That's not right." Or make laws that prohibit or discourage it.There are straight couples who don't follow those limits of sexuality. Here's some birds n bees talk you may not have received: oral sex and anal sex, still things straight people like to do. There are whole websites and videos dedicated to some of the most craziest, disgusting, "perverted", "deviant", "abnormal" things you have ever seen or ever will see done between just one guy and one girl. There are married couples, straight married couples, where the wife is like, "hey, honey, I want to try dirty sanchez tonight."

And yet, here you are. Creeped out, because one guy likes to have sex with another guy. A lot of them don't even like all that other crap I just mentioned. One of my gay friends watched "Real Sex" on HBO, he reviewed it as the worst thing he's ever seen in his life. His words were, "There's people who are alive and do stuff like that? Ech!!!"

Look you don't get it. You are not a bigot simply because you think homosexuality is "icky" and abnormal. You're a bigot when you feel that an American citizen is not allowed the same rights as you, because you think what they do is abnormal.

    You got it now?

Yeah, when someone says wiener, they sound like some little 6 year old brat with a rat-tail hair cut and Koolaid mustache like, "Heh heh, wiener. Pffft. Wiener!"

And then you use it all serious. God gave man a wiener. He createth the wiener on the sixth day. And God said it was good. Eve looked at it and said, "YOU'RE GONNA PUT THAT WHERE!!!!!!????"

first, do not make fun of me because I do dunk my Mickie D's burgers. You must get them without pickle and a Big Mac or quarter pounder can't be used, it must be the small burger. Give it a try sometime

next, who cares what any of us do in our bedrooms. It's no more my business than it is yours and it's especially not the business of our ever encroaching govt

I was simply keeping with making your hamburger dipping routine relevant to the situation. Me, I dip fries in shakes.

You're right. This is however, the political forum. This particular part of the forum deals with gay rights. Your bigotry is more clearly defined by whether or not you are for or against gay equality. If, however, you just think homosexuality is icky, and that's all, well, your bigotry is only debatable at best. And Nancy Pelosi has something to tell you.

    "Who cares?"

So to sum up the arguments against gay marriage that have come up in this thread:

    Milkshakes.

    Brilliant.

it's a nonsense thread and I simply addressed the messaging needed for the gay movement and what words need to be redefined by your group

I used what would be called "abnormal behavior" by others as an example

Honestly, it's actually intriguing to post within this subsection be it with facts, observations etc and see how long it is before the heterophobes post an insult

Here's the thing about normal and abnormal. They are moving targets, but more to the point, they are meaningless.

Is it normal to farm and raise animals for food? To a hunter/gatherer society it's not.
Is it normal to believe the sun orbited the Earth? In the middle ages it was.
Is it normal for men to have multiple wives? In some cultures it is.
Is it normal for an African American to be able to marry a Caucasian? I think you can answer that one for yourself.

This is what conservatives never understand, the world is constantly changing, and dare I say... evolving. Customs change, society changes, knowledge changes and if you don't change with it, one day you are going to be left behind with your mullet, your collection of cassette tapes and your "Where's the Beef" t-shirt while the rest of us enjoy the 21st century.

your broad brush does not fit here as it seems that you do not understand the definition of normal.

It is normal to be right handed.

96.6% of adults have heterosexual sex thus it is abnormal to have gay sex

First of all I can agree with you that homosexuality is abnormal, however perversity has a more specific meaning than abnormality:
    per·verse (pr-vûrs, pûrvûrs)
    adj.
    1. Directed away from what is right or good; perverted.
    2. Obstinately persisting in an error or fault; wrongly self-willed or stubborn.
    3.
    a. Marked by a disposition to oppose and contradict.
    b. Arising from such a disposition.
    4. Cranky; peevish.
As you can see perversity also has a connotation of being in opposition to what is good, which I is why I don't think you can throw this word around so lackadaisically.
Secondly, if I agree with you that homosexuality is abnormal; how does that in any way make any argument against homosexuality or gay marriage? That would be like saying that it is wrong to be left handed because it is not normal.

perverse is to deviate from the norm. It is not a bad word nor is deviant or abnormal unless the entire context is viewed.

If I were in a gang and would not do drive by shootings, then I have deviant behavior from the gang. My actions are also perverse to theirs.

But, like the correct use of the term "phobia", the gay groups want to change definitions of words. I submit for your consideration of homophobia vs claustrophobia.

I am not afraid to be in small confined spaces so do I suffer from claustrophobia?

I am not afraid of homosexuals so do I suffer from homophobia?

I do not however support gay marriage nor do I support govt in any marriage
I do not support the creation of a protected class for homosexuals because I support the Constitution and the concept of individuals

so, I continuously get called a bigot or "homophobe" within this subsection yet I have no fear of homosexuals

or, is the definition of claustrophobia and all other phobias the ones which are incorrect?

again being deviant is not necessarily a bad thing, however perversity has a connotation of opposing the morals of the norm, not just being outside of the norm.

As for your point on homophobia, you are assuming that homophobia must only be of homosexual individuals, however it could also be an irrational fear of homosexuality, whether that be a fear that homosexuals are taking over the country, or that homosexuality will become the norm. Now I don't think that calling someone a homophobe is in any way a good argument, but if you have an irrational fear of some kind of homosexual conspiracy then you are in fact a homophobe.
