Because insurance companies will be forced to raise premiums to make up the difference.

But a Company wont raise the cost of a product "to make up the difference" when you raise their taxes?

corporate tax rates have no relevance at all to the discussion. Start a thread on them, and we can discuss it.

I made no mention of corporate tax rates. You threw it out as a giant red herring.

This thread is about healthcare premiums, and trump taking away subsidies. Start a thread regarding taxes, and discuss them there.

I doubt very much your health care is better than in the USA. Just because it's universal in the country does not make it better. Anything that is perceived to be free is wide open for abuse. How many times or how much should society pay for the constant drug addict or alcoholic? How many treatments or how much should society pay for the obese who refuse to diet or follow their doctors orders? Should society have to pay for those who are compulsive sex addicts and contract STD's, HIV, or Aids? I'm responsible for my own bad behavior and am responsible for my own healthcare coverage.

I'm all for everybody to be given a yearly or bi-yearly exam to have all their issues addressed and those that don't wish to receive treatment to be removed from the insurance rolls. We know that isn't going to happen because society would be depriving poor people of the right to gorge themselves with soft drinks and donuts.

Why do you assume that all should pay for those who refuse to change their way of living and keep on abusing their bodies?
