Souls and Brain Transplants

Hypothetical situation.

Doctors develop the ability to successfully perform full brain transplants. For the purposes of this question, just assume they can take your brain and pop it into the skull of another human body, reconnect it, and have it become conscious and control that body.

For those of you who believe in souls, what happens in this situation? Does your soul transfer with your brain, sort of like the SIM-card in a cell phone, or is your soul bound to your body? Does your soul change to reflect your new situation, or is your soul independent of your body?

 

People who have had face transplants don't seem to have experienced any "soul changes".

 

A face is not a brain. Leaving aside for a moment the fact that this isn't ever going to become possible. When you think of a soul thing of your personality figure out whenre in that resides and you have your answer.

 

Why do you think that there is such a thing as a "soul"?

 

Maybe a soul is a more fluid type of thing than most people imagine.

 

There is no soul. Until evidence exists to suggest otherwise this is a moot point.
