Am I selfish, or maybe clever? On the PIRSA study I was bewildered to see that the impact on health, environment and safety weren't on the agenda, not considered at all. What are your thoughts on the subject, in favor or against?
I'm in favour of labelling. I don't believe we have the luxury of being completely against gm food, simply because our climate is changing and populations are increasing... we need to eat. On the other had we do know that food interact with our genes on a molecular level, therefore changing the genetics of our food source can potentially be harmful to humans. Stick a label on it... make your own choices.
I am afraid that one day there are no choices anymore, that is when the gm crowd sues the gm free mob for damages. And I am not quite sure whether everything possible is done to stay gm free. It sounds so sweet, better and larger harvest, higher profits, think gm. I have stopped buying into this.... Reg.
Bigger and better harvests, higher profits ... smaller gene pool controlled by Monsanto. Cross pollination into GM free crops leading to Monsanto seeking damages for patent violation. I dunno.
It was an American/Canadian company, and whatever goes (makes huge profits) in northern America is backed by its capitalist system. It (glyphosate) reminds me to asbestos and other goodies, which took far too long to have them removed! Reg.
