Obstruction? How long has the government had these tapes? And they still have the original tapes.

We've seen how the DOJ tracked down and arrested people who were there but DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!! Let the DOJ and FBI track down the person who planted the pipe bomb, but he doesn't seem as important as a guy walking across a lawn.

They want to blur the faces to keep "internet sleuths" from possibly identifying someone the FBI etc. couldn't id.
At first I was a little outraged, but later thought it could lead to innocent people getting fingers pointed at them, so I tempered it to disgust.
All to pander to the base. What is the purpose of releasing them anyway? To give fodder to those like the above comment.

 

People and pundits have been calling for the tapes to be released, so being transparent, they're being released.

The problem is and always has been putting names to the faces. Obviously, or at least Mike Johnson believes there are still some unidentified participants I.e. as far as I know they still haven’t identified the faeces smearer. But this also goes against the narrative that it was the FBI/Antifa because it it was surely they would not have to blur faces?
BTW in what world is this “doing nothing wrong”?

 

It's probably more about the activities that are going on than specific people, things like protesters being escorted by the Capitol police and the like.

He rails against a "biased report" that "hid some of the evidence"....but will do exactly that himself...!

A lot of people. I saw an interview of a guy, I don't recall his name, and he was in the Capitol building for just a few minutes, took a selfie, didn't do anything wrong and walked out and he had videos to prove it. Yep, Garland charged him with a crime. It almost seems that anyone Garland can identify as being at the Capitol that day got arrested - except the guy who planted the pipe bomb.

 

You claimed that "the left" "refused" to allow those people to testify about Jan 6. You mentioned NOTHING about the Jan 6 committee (which was bi-partisan in make-up), only that they were refused, by this amorphous "left", the opportunity to testify. They did testify....in Congress! So your claim is false..........deal with it!

 

One guy is "a lot of people"...?? And if that (unnamed) guy was charged with a crime, he will have his day in court to clear his name, if he really did "nothing wrong"...

You can twist all you want. Anyone who knows anything about the J6 hearings knows they weren't allowed to testify.
