    Thats so true. Leftists only look at things superficially. Just because Chairman Obama says it will not affect the second amendment does not make it so, in fact, it probably means that it will affect the second amendment comparing his similar denials about health care and the later revelations of truth about what health care really is.

    I do not think that is right under the case law, and it would never get through the Senate. You also have to consider the reality. the vast majority of gun owners would simply ignore the law and then vote out every politician who voted to approve the scheme...

    The only claim I have made is that if the senate rejects the treaty neither Obama, the UN or the libs on the Supreme Court will be able to screw us with it.

    It IS the topic...the Administration lied in the nations face about the working and cost of ObamaCare in order to get it passed and now they lie about the effect of such a treaty. The regime never, ever lets the truth get in the way of a freedom reducing scheme.

    It needs a 2/3rds majority vote to ratify a treaty in the Senate. They just won't have enough votes for that.

    No, even if the Senate ratifies (which they probably won't), and the President does the same, it's still a UN treaty...

    I'm sure the treaty is full of opportunities for lib gun-grabbers to take away our rights.

    Here's just one:

    To me that means the laws for gun ownership in the US would be the same as laws in France or China.

    Imagine the fun libs could have with that.

    Obama wouldn't hesitate to give the order, those that had to carry it out might hesitate though, as they would likely be gun owners themselves.
