Or it was a "bird collision" as reported by Israel.

Oh God, why did I watch that? I feel like I have lost 20 IQ points from that crap.

Please, there is a Conspiracy Theory section way down in the basement.

Here is a simple fact. on 3 separate occasions in the last 2 years, Syria has claimed to have fired S-200/SA-5 missiles at Israeli aircraft. And in each one of those incidents, they claim to have shot down 1 or 2 Israeli aircraft.

And they have as of yet never produced any evidence of this. However, one of their missiles in March of this year after going ballistic did not self-destruct as designed and aimed itself at a populated area in Israel. Thankfully the Arrow anti-missile system shot it down. But at least 2 other missiles also crashed inside Israel.

I do not take this seriously at all. The Syrian air defense system took a lot of damage during it's civil war, and they have been spending a lot to get it operational again. And this actually makes 3 separate failures, not only in the performance of the missile itself, but in a key feature which should have it self-destructing after missing it's target, not going on in a rogue status, possibly damaging friendly areas.
