If you're on Social Security, there's a reason why you haven't received your $1,400 check yet. The first part of this was the $600 bit, signed by Trump on December 27, 2020. I had my $600 by Jan. 4 2021 ... very quick, just like the $1,200 stimulus we got almost a year ago. But for some reason, this time I got nothing so I waited, and waited ... and I'm still waiting, but at least now I know why: https://www.abc10.com/article/news/...-irs/507-05bab7b9-bddf-403f-b36b-784839d176ca Andrew Saul, the Trump-appointed Commisioner of the SSA, somehow "forgot" to have the files for retirees forwarded to the IRS promptly, as he did last year, and again a few months ago when Trump was still president. He claims otherwise, but after years of lies, manipulations, and disastrous messes from Trump and his sycophants, I strongly suspect that this was one last "eff you" from Trump to we the people, a way to thumb his nose at voters. Unfortunately, 30 million retirees are feeling the brunt this time. I'm just getting to the point where I can hear someone say "the president" without wanting to puke, but here he is, still messing with us. The Biden administration will get to Andrew Saul eventually ... hopefully soon, after this spiteful play.
On another forum people were also discussing that they received the first two via direct deposit but were told they would be getting a live check this time around. I don't know what caused the method to change but that could also cause a delay.
Funny, my receipt pattern has been DD (last May), Check (January), DD (March)... Hope they get this money out to those who need it ASAP...
