What's your point? Non-voters are irrelevant?

 

You're mad at scientists because their political dogma doesn't match yours. Sorry. Science is a process. It's not perfect. But it has the capacity to change with new data. If the data no longer supports climate change, then it will change. It won't change because it hurts your feelings.

 

I mean if they can't vote, then why are you mad at them for making their voices heard in other ways. Does that make them terrible human beings? I think it's a positive change from the obsession with social media of a few years ago.

 

Science tells us that Greta Thunberg should've sailed her boat to China, and scolded the Chinese.

 

No, it makes them pampered little snowflakes.

They should change their over-consumptive ways, and then maybe I'll listen to them. Until then, I'm not going to listen to their whiny hypocrisy.

If they want to impress me, let's see them give up their cellphones, and ride a bike to school instead of getting chauffeured around in mommy's hybrid SUV.

Putting it back in a religious connotation, how has the climate clergy dealt with the failure of all their previous disaster pronouncements. They doubled down.

How have all the worlds other religions dealt with the absence of miracles in the last few centuries? They double down.

 

If it were truly a matter of science, then these kids would be demanding nuclear power plants, because their solar and wind fairytales are just fantasies, and their "Green Deal" is nothing put socialist social-engineering schemes spray painted green.

Real, actual science tells us that solar and wind energy requires lots and lots of switching hardware, because it's spread out, and the equipment isn't localized like, say, a nuclear power plant) and that switching hardware contains a hidden poison pill.

Real, actual science tells us that what these kids are demanding WILL backfire on them, as all hare-brained socialist schemes always do.

Greta Thunderberg should take her poster child status over to China - not here in the US. China disregards any notion of curbing carbon emissions while the US has been cutting carbon emissions year after year. Btw, why are kids taken seriously on the issues of Global Warming & 2A legislation? Would you lend the same credence to their input on your financial planning / portfolio management... No - didn't think so, lol...

Kids like to hang out and skip school.
Stupid enough parents think this is 'protesting'.
Had the kids realy cared, they could have a project in school calculating their actual carbon footprint and coming with a real plan to reduce it.
Some examples:
- we decided as a family to go veg, cause cow farts are 40% of all carbon emmitions.
- i made mom give up the SUV.
- we decided not to go skiing this winter to save the plane emmition.

But hay, a day out of school hanging out is so much more fun and does not require anything.

 

And I can’t think of a better educational experience. It is a great lesson on activism and how movements change he things

 

That’s the problem that you don’t understand that they are not whining, they are taking action. What do you expect them to do? I am sure these are the same kid that make sure there is recyclables in the schools etc.There is power in numbers and all these young people seeing millions of other young people all over the world challenging is encouraging and promote activism

 

I guess I have to ask why does the right go to neo-Nazis to make their points? The answer should be obvious. (Sarcasm alert)
Why does the right have men making the point about abortion rights .Are they obstetricians?

 

That's the problem with the snowflake generation, they think writing some slogans on a hunk of cardboard and shouting into a bullhorn is taking action. It's not, it's just whining.

Like I said before, they should give up their cell phones, and their pampered hyper-consumptive habits.

Until they walk the environmental-protection walk in their own cushy lives, then their activism is nothing but slacktivism.
