    French is a dead language.

100 years from now, no one will speak it.

It will go the way Latin went.

I believe that there are ways that French could be promoted and interest in that language could be increased.

If the French language was linked to a plan to bring the whole world together..... more people would probably be interested in learning French?!

Proposal for the creation of a Quebec provincial currency unit to save coastal communities from threat of rising ocean levels.
    March 8, 2012 at 8:58am
In my opinion it is going to cost trillions of dollars to do what needs to be done to protect towns like Truro, and Antigonish, Nova Scotia from the consequences of the cracking and sliding of a large part of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet and the land based Greenland Ice Pack into the ocean.

The province of Alberta attempted to create its own provincial currency unit during The Great Depression but enormous pressure was exerted to ensure that their experiment in monetary policy was unsuccessful.

The province of Quebec seems to be in much better position to create its own provincial currency unit without facing the massive backlash from the financial community and federal government that Alberta experienced.

Dr. James Hansen has stated that the last time that global temperatures rose by three degrees ocean levels rose by 25 meters over four centuries. Canada and the world are NOT yet prepared for ocean rise of one meter every twenty years.

Nearly one hundred million people in Bangladesh alone will become climate change refugees in the event of merely a one meter rise in ocean levels!

Annexation would solve that, sooner or later we'll have to annex them anyway...

I am pretty sure that they would feel more comfortable with increased media attention and the positive results that this can so often bring about!

Which tends to verify that young people from Quebec will need good English to be successful under the present
economic conditions when so many people need to move to practice their chosen career.

Young people in the province of Quebec.....
have had the privilege and opportunity to observe their
parents and grandparents concentrate on fear and paranoia.....
over all us Anglos.... who supposedly are out to destroy their culture.....

They have the opportunity to rise up out of that mentality of fear.....
and through art and films and books.... they could take point on combatting the
anger......... and fear......... and paranoia..... that could well grip the USA if The Donald is elected....

and for the record..... if I was American I am 95% certain that I would vote for The Donald.....
better to confront some of the big problems now.... than to let them fester for another four years....

    Truly well said legojenn!

This is exactly what i feel is happening as well.

Young people in Quebec are all set up to assist in decreasing American vs American hostility that could cripple so many cities over the coming two or three years.

Because it is an issue that could help to get Mr. Kevin O'Leary
elected National Leader of Canada's Conservative Party which would
set the stage for Mr. O'Leary to become Prime Minister of Canada and
allow our nation to be much more supportive for the plans that President Trump
has in mind for the world!

Yes... that is The Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank, Dragon's Den and so many other programs.

The British brutally mistreated the French in Canada. Took their homes and deported many of them aboard ships and sent them to the swamps of Louisiana. My relative jumped from one of those ships in Pensacola harbor and settled there. And now we're supposed to cry for English, living in a French province? Cry me a river....

All of that is true but.....
the bottom line is that young people in the province of Quebec
who already have good French need to
have excellent English language skills or they will not be truly free to
find a career in any other province of Canada or in the USA.

Why can't Canada just civilize those Gauls? They really are the other barbarians at the gates up there...

This next generation of young people in Quebec are likely to
lead that province out of the rather extreme anger that they had in the past......
they know that their future careers depend on having good English.......
once they have good English they will connect with more Anglos on their phones.....
(that they are probably just as glued to as Anglo kids are).....
and much of the hostility of fifty years ago will be gone.
