Sure, higher education should not be trusted and Science is bad because it reveals the truth to liars. It’s a disinfectant and they don’t like it. But where will deniers get their medicine and all their toys ? It has to be a conundrum for deniers. Many think the world is 6 k years old while driving around in cars powered by gasoline from 3 million year old petroleum.

Exactly. It’s funny how they luv to quote other deniers but are careful to put Dr. After all their names to give them cred. Don’t you need an education from an institute of higher learning to get a doctorate ?
We’ll have to wait for their next witticism from Faux News.

Okay...let me try to make this easier for you to grasp.

If you are hiring a contactor to install plumbing, would you interview bakers?
If you need a Rocket scientist do you get an auto mechanic?

Hopefully you get the most competent person for the job and if the individuals rejected happen to be purposefully ignorant you discriminate against them (don't hire).

Many of this new Conservative mindset ignore or even refute science and verified data so they would be quickly dismissed as an educator.

his link refers to social psychologists so it's hardly surprising when you consider social conservatives and their viewpoints

    Guess you missed this part.

"One question, according to the researchers, “asked whether, in choosing between two equally qualified job candidates for one job opening, they would be inclined to vote for the more liberal candidate (i.e., over the conservative).”

More than a third of the respondents said they would discriminate against the conservative candidate. One respondent wrote in that if department members “could figure out who was a conservative, they would be sure not to hire them.”

Golly, one person said it so it must be the consensus in all 40,000 Universities and a super secret conspiracy to not hire all the conservative professors...all twelve of them. It is also important to consider Academia is a tough field, requiring years of study, followed by a slog to find work and then earn tenure, assuming a tenure-track position is even available. During that period, the pay is generally pretty lousy, and once you get tenure? It’s still not great money at most schools. And that’s assuming you get a permanent job; one hears plenty of horror stories about worthless Ph.D.’s and people with Ivy League degrees doing adjunct work at community colleges. The job of a professor is thus reserved for two types of people: those who are independently wealthy, and those who don’t care if they never make more than $50,000/yr in their chosen career. Stereotypes aren’t 100% true, but honestly? I don’t know many conservatives who have killer resumes that can land them high-paying jobs, but instead choose to take a drastic pay cut not just for a year or two, but potentially for the rest of their lives.

One person? Oh you mean one question.

Way to ignore everything I just typed so you can keep hyping your BS position. If I were looking for an educator and had someone with your level of comprehension as a candidate I would look elsewhere too.

Bet your asteroid conservatism is not compatible with institutes of higher learning in general.

Btw, 4 in 10 Americans by poll think the earth was created less then 10 k years ago. The majority of which are conservative. Just google some polls yourself. Typically, the average conservative is not embarrassed by having a negative view of science and higher education in general. Your posts go a long way to demonstrate that. I suppose you can google. Unfortunately , it will take a liberal bent to actually do that research and educate yourself to begin with. Research and using the scientific method is a liberal concept, so you’re probably going to dismiss anything that doesn’t agree with your preconceived ideas to begin with.

imo you don't understand how much people hate pollsters, and how many answers can be interpreted as "shove it."

Ok, I'll bite ... How much do people hate pollsters? How many answers can be interpreted as "shove it"? Do you think that this biases the '4 in 10' number too high? or too low?

When snowflakes melt it looks like tears. Now you get defensive when confronted with the reality of your posts and whine about imagined fouls.

That's what I figured your source was. You might try looking at the actual poll which says the bulk of people believe man was created in the time frame you specified not Earth. Your source is fake news. Stay away from those global warming fake sites.

PRINCETON, NJ -- More than four in 10 Americans continue to believe that God created humans in their present form 10,000 years ago, a view that has changed little over the past three decades. Half of Americans believe humans evolved, with the majority of these saying God guided the evolutionary process. However, the percentage who say God was not involved is rising."

At this point, you should be doing your own research. Mine comes institutes of higher learning. You now have a built in ignorance promotion mechanism. A Gallup poll for this. Well done polls are done with science in mind which you now diss. You support ignorance because you diss science and education, our primary sources for our search for knowledge. .

What form do these creationists believe humans were in before 10 k years ? Obviously, they don’t believe man has free will if they needed guidance to evolve.

So now you see you were mislead by your global warming website and see the actual poll does not say what they claim and what you earlier stated as fact. You're welcome.

You’re avoiding the question. It has everything to do with humans being created 10 k years ago. If as you claim, the poll shows what human only existed “in their present day form” whatever that means, what were before 10k years go. Answer the question. Present day form means intelligent life. What were they before ?
