Study says Fox News viewers know less about News than those who watch no news

I didn't say that ANYONE, either in the US or anyplace else in the world is "all seeing, all knowing!"

However, people who tend to have more exposure to different cultures, languages, ways of thinking tend to have a more openmind and to accept that they don't know everything, and that what they do know is not necessarely "perfect," or "the best!"

Apparently you seem to have an issue accepting that!

 

I don't remember her name either, but I know who you mean! She has the eyes of a beautiful fawn, and a face shaped like a heart, with a very sexy mouth and lovely accent! And her skin is beautiful also, like dark honey!

She is also very articulate and seems extremely self-confidente. She is on CNN International, I think. I saw her for the first time on CNN 18 months ago when I was staying in Europe.

Yes that is where she is on. CNN International. Sometimes she does Correspondence on Anderson Cooper as well.

I am gonna have to find a picture. I hate being at work where most sites are blocked!!!

It is the reality that you hate this country and everything about it. That much is certain. The very idea that we don't believe in American exceptionalism is indicative of your loathing. The arrogance is all yours.

 

The concept of American-hating Americans is fairly recent. I can't remember encountering the phenomenon until about 10 or 12 years ago. It does baffle. Why don't those who hate America move somewhere else.

Just as, while raising my children, I loved them enough not to close my eyes on all their errors and their shortfalls, and tried to help them overcome those shortfalls and look at their own qualities and achievements with clarity, I look at this country as worthy of KNOWING that there is a LOT we can learn from others, and that we can reach a higher level of accomplishment if we don't automatically assume that "we are the best" and "nothing needs to be changed!"

If you believe that showing that "the Emperor has no clothes" is unpatriotic. . .try letting this "emperor" walk naked in a world gone global!

It is still time to make the adjustments needed to lead, to move forward. . .but, obviously, if no one is allowed to use critical thinking, or constructive criticism without being labelled "unpatriotic," or "hating America," we might just give up right now. . .there are plenty of countries that would LOVE to see us swallow in our self-declared "exceptionalism" and "perfection!"

I love my country. I am an American and I am proud of that fact. I put my hand to my head and salute whenever I hear the national anthem.

But I dont believe in American Exceptionalism. That is dumb. There are things about this country that I would LOVE to see changed. I dont like the fact that we stick our noses in every foreign engagement in the world. I dont like the fact that race relations are so poor in this country. I dont like the fact that we still have the debate here as to whether Universal Health Care is better or worse than our Insurance program......The rest of the world already figured it out. I dont like the fact that most other Western Nations treat their workers better than we get treated here.....


BUT....Those are MY viewpoints. I speak out on those things in the hopes that they will change. Our nation is a Democracy, and as such, a dissenting voice is SUPPOSED to have a place at the table. We are SUPPOSED to dissent with our nation from time to time in the hopes that it changes for the better.

Changes can be good. The Civil Rights movement?? GOOD!!

Changes can be bad. The entire Bush Admin?? BAD!!

But should we all just keep our mouths shut and not say anything? OF COURSE NOT!! We are NOT exceptional because we are Americans. That is ridiculous. I would even argue that a few other nations on this planet have MORE freedoms than we have here. But I do love the fact that I can still have my voice be heard, on forums such as this, or at the voting booth.

I believe our Founding Fathers left us with the OPPORTUNITY to become the worlds greatest nation. But I dont judge greatness on military might, or financial standing. We were still one of the last nations to abolish slavery, and we have always been behind other nations on civil rights. Our education scores are pretty horrible, our health care is very low rated, our life expectancy is lower than most developed countries.

When we catch up in these areas. Yes ill call us the best. Until then.....I am OPTOMISTIC that we will get there soon.

What does this mean? Who is hating what? I do not hate nations, I have no reason to do so. I do not hate the people of any nation either. I do however object to the actions of the US government on a multitude of issues. Apparently, according to some unthinking right wingers that objection equates to "America-hating." That makes absolutely no sense.

 

It's quite obvious the Left hates Fox News.

Often by the time news networks run a story, I've already known about it for hours if not days.

 

If you don't watch Fox, you'll never get the whole story. Do you think the othe news stations would put out videos like the ones I just put up?
