If you haven't lived somewhere most of your life. If you don't have an elderly father and most of your family, then yes. If I had not come back after my time in the service and not reconnected in a major way and say, went to work in NYC, then it might be easier to leave altogether when I had enough, but tearing out your roots isn't something done easily. I will say, that I will deal with the crap of California for a lot longer if it means my father is here another 20 years.
Respectfully that is your opinion based upon your experiences. It is not what I see with my own eyes. You are of course welcome to your opinion but to me that is as broad a brush as if I were to claim that conservatives are only interested in promoting corporate interests and millionaires at the expense of the middle class and poor. I refuse to succomb to the mind think of the extremists on both sides that insist on painting the other side as the evil enemy.
You're welcome when 8 yrs ago wild fires ravaged your area and it too became a disaster relief zone. I worked for SAIC and was subbed to Beoing in Huntington Beach, CA. Donated 8 yrs of my vacation pay for your relief effort.
I'd never live there because of the insane taxes, insane politicians, and the fact the place is overrun with illegal aliens! Kalifornia should be severed from the mainland with explosives, towed out to sea, and scuttled in deep water.
We dont get wild fires down by the beach. And, oddly enough, more often than not, wildfires are not a natural disaster. In other words, they can be prevented.
