Superionic ice

    This makes 18 varieties of ice and it may be the most intriguing possibility of all. It also points to the possibility of super ionic methane and other similar compounds. If I am interpreting the article correctly these would all be fairly high energy if not very high energy compounds. And that could make at least some of them a useful fuel source for space missions if the rather obvious problems can be solved.

    I'm skeptical, water and methane being stable covalent compounds and all.
