Not the end of the world obviously, but still annoying to no end.

Never mind that boys and girls typically prefer gender specific toys, regardless of whether or not their preference is culturally conditioned.

Just so long as we're living up to some unrealistic and unnecessary standards, the left leaning PC'rs will be happy.

Yeah! THAT'S RIGHT! You better conform, you... normal... average... people. Because if not, we're gonna slander you into submission by making much ado over nothing!

The audacity of these advertisers! Do they operate out of a cave or something?

Yep, cause there's only children... no boys or girls...

Don’t care which toys the kids want to play with trying to force a preference on them seems a bit disturbing whether you’re tying to be traditional or new

I used to think that sweden was an utterly insane country.

But now i think its just evil. Its controlled by socialist lunatics who will wipe out all traces of swedish culture there may have ever been. They will not rest until everything thats considered swedish will have disappeared from the face of the earth.

Its okay though. I think the greatest gift sweden can give the rest of us at this point is to fail as spectacularly as possible. Theres no way to save it, its too crazy, but it can save us by giving us a cautionary tale. And i assure you that when the conflict between islamic culture and swedens new transgender beta males becomes too obvious the country will fail.

So what exactly do you find annoying about it? You can still buy your kids whichever toy they want to have, don't you?
Or would you refuse to give your little boy a doll if he wanted one or your daughter a toy-gun if she wanted one?

Don't worry: I played with both dolls and toy-guns when I was a little girl and no harm was done. I still grew up to become a pacifist and I'm still ovulating. Yet I'm slightly upset that I just had a pathetic little water-pistol and not the massive water canon thing the girl in the photo has. Man, my brother and our friends could have been well soaked with that, yiha!

What's annoying, is that some nutbags somehow feel that they need to chastise people who've done absolutely nothing wrong, for simply sticking to the norm.

And you're exactly right, I CAN buy my kids whatever toys they want, but I certainly don't need the catalog company to present some unrealistic possibility, simply because some nutter was offended by something normal.

Progressive extremist, in a sense, are becoming like religious fascist.

If the kids were dressed like good little Sweeds, and wearing their burqas, you shouldn`t be able to identify their sex anyway.

Why would the boy prefer to play with a girl?

You're totally missing the point. The advertiser bowed to the pressure of someone who was offended by the catalog not being 'gender neutral'.

I'm not saying it's odd that a girl would play with toy guns, or real ones even, I'm saying it's not the norm, and it's really bizarre that someone would be so offended by a catalog displaying the norm, that they'd demand they do otherwise.

Sweden is a pretty progressive country. I reckon there must be loads of Swedish parents out there who don't want their children to be exposed to the norm and nothing but the norm, because they fear that their kids will just try to live up to the norm rather than developping their full potentials and talents. So the toy company advertized according to the customers wishes. I don't see what's fascist about that. It's just capitalistic.

Honestly? I can't think of any girl between 2-9years old that would not play with toy guns in my extended family and neighbourhood. Not always to the parents pleasure, but that's not because of a supposed 'genderbending' but because of the parents being hard-core pacifists.

I suggest you revise your norms. It's not the fifties any more, dear.

    Alrighty then.

I'd ask you if the girls in your family would rather play with dolls, or other toys that are typically considered feminine... but of course they'd rather play with guns... and the boys can't wait to brush barbies hair and put on her makeup. Right?

Sounds like they were doing just fine, until the 'gender neutral police' decided it was time for change.

Sweden was always very sexually liberal, I believe, and it was v much a more monolithic society for sure.

And it was certainly a beautiful country, and it always (to me), had an image of low crime.

Not so much now. Why? Because of the mutli cultural experiment, which has failed there, as it has everywhere, because it is always meant to fail, for the host nation.

Believe me, if unbridled 'multi culturalism' was 'good', Israel would have snapped it up by now.

They very much do not, and why? Because it is easier to get a national consensus when your society is not made up of about 25 different nationalties, many not even European.

It fails for Sweden, imo, and damages it, because in such a set up, it is always the host who does the giving, until there is no more left to give.

This did not simply happen by a bolt of lightening.

    Nor is it over.

I could show you right now who is orchestrating it there, and across Europe, but hey, probably no use doing that.

    The interested will seek..

Up to a certain age most boys do indeed love to play with dolls. As do girls who find it acceptable to play with them a bit longer. Both boys and girls will play with their favourite fluffy rabbit, bear or monkey ... which basically are just the animal version of a doll.

Changing adds in the hopes of ending up with more money sounds like normal traditional behavior to me

So there's no difference between a stuffed animal and a barbie, or realistic looking baby doll perhaps?
