A number of years ago, a friend of my was diagnosed with ALS, which is a terminal and awful way to die and she decided in Washington State to go out on her own terms with our Death with Dignity law. I was there with her along with other friends and family and it's about as sad and thing to go through as you can imagine, but I can completely understand her decision to not prolong her suffering. When I talked to one of the individuals that assisted her through this process, we discussed how people will take their Pets in to be put to sleep and end their suffering, but a lot are opposed to do the same for a Human and rather see the pain of certain diseases extended, which seems cruel. If faced with a slow painful Death, I'd certainly look at one of these Suicide Pods as an Option. Don't like to think about it much, because I love life, but it's comforting to know there are options out there.
Like the idea it can be brought anywhere you wish to die.

I honestly think assisted suicide should be an absolute option here. I know it was made legal here, however to qualify for it is nearly impossible. There are people who are suffering and they should truly have this as an option. It's better than having family members find their bodies! At least everyone in the family can be part of this decision and you go out on your own terms.

I have watched too many family and friends suffer to death ... my Dad had MDS and his red blood cells slowly stopped carrying oxygen ... he would not have survived a marrow transplant ... he eventually suffocated to death ... he wanted out months before ...

we did some research and for about $100 and a trip to 2 stores, I could have ended his life pain free but I would probably be sitting in jail right now ...

Half Gallon of Jameson Irish Whiskey, some good Reefer, bottle of Sleeping Pills and a nice Tree to lean back on in a beautiful forest is how I'm going out.

Now hold on! This could be a good thing! At least have a trial period!
