Vladimir Putin did say that Russia will not intervene if Israel feels threatened, and Iran is building bases close to the Israeli border. That Vladimir Putin is on friendly terms with Iran, does not mean that he supports Iran's bases in Syria - especially near Israel. I don't think Assad does either, but with the situation the way it is with the American occupation as well as the Turkish one, I don't think he can do anything.

I would rather put it, that I believe in democratic principles as long as what comes from such, are freedom, liberty and basic rights our founders said were god given, not man given. A philosophical principle which I agree with. If democratic principles give one a theocracy, sharia law as the law of the land, which negates liberty, freedom, and secular rights, then no, I would not want that, if for no reason other than the oppression of the minorities.

So, if I used your tactics here, I would say that you are purely a democracy kind of guy, even if such a mobocracy, installed nazism, and this would of course make you accepting of nazism, because it arose using democratic principles.
