I see a no win situation if the UN or NATO gets involved. The Russians, Iranians, and the Chinese do not want the west to have control of Syria or even be near it. We almost got into a proxy-war with them because of this conflict. Helping either side in the conflict will only help an enemy, I say focus the funds to go to the civilian refugees in Jordan and in other nations. I do commemorate Turkey for the actions it is taking in the matter despite the war spilling over to their borders. I hope it does not spread to any other nation, I only want the innocent to be helped. The Muslim brotherhood in Egypt and in Syria have claimed thousands of lives of Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike. Coptic Christians churches have been burned down by this group. We must help the persecuted and the innocent in the middle east without going to war with Syria or its allies.

Unfortunately, this long term reticence to intervene in atrocities is a primary cause for the ever escalating instability and massacres, but I realize I'm not in the majority; isolationism has never worked for the U.S. and neither has neutrality been viable except for short periods of time. If I were an American dictator with the military I wouldn't hesitate for a second to protect and rescue Syrian Christians right from the start, but then I'll never be elected so ...

Here's a list of the some of the Christian churches and Christian affiliated groups who have been butchered and destroyed by Islamo-vermin in Egypt alone by the summer of 2013; don't have time to find anything more up to date, but it gives a sense of the scale of atrocities going on against non-Muslims by these animals, and not just in the ME.

Pretty much the only way to slow this kind of stuff is to randomly take out 5 mosques for every church and synagogue these vermin destroy; that's what they're capable of understanding. 'Dialoguing' and and all the PC crap has never worked, and there is certainly no reason to concern ourselves with how much they like us or not; there aren't many 'moderate' Muslims, despite the PR claims.

On 22nd January 2014, peace conference will be held between Syrian government and opposition groups in Geneva. This conference hopefully will be a solution to the crisis and could end the civil war. It is planned to establish a transitional government until the elections.

Lakhdar Brahimi, United Nations peace envoy to Syria, is the head of this conference had relations with both Syrian regime and opposition and also with Russia, USA and China. Instead of miltary solution he is aming to end this conflict with political one. The main problem according to him is the fragmentation of opposition groups and bringing them together under one entity.

Syrian National Coalition and Syrian Regime will be the main actors of the conference. SNC specifies that the reigme is still behaving violently against civilians.

Following many innocent civilian deaths and genocides, hopefully this conflict can end peacefully and Whatever the problem between nations states or the groups in Syria, it is unacceptable to see them watching civilians being killed and doing nothing for two years.
