Times have changed. Homosexuals are no longer discriminated against in the workplace, in housing, they can marry, etc. They've done it. The issue is over.

I see no need to publicly celebrate and advertise their homosexuality any more than I would want to publicly celebrate my heterosexuality. It's none of my business what other people's sexual orientations are. I don't care, and I don't want to know. It's one thing to discuss the presence of gay people in a high school level Sociology or Political Science class, and quite another to be explaining gay sex practices by discussion or in books to elementary and middle school students.
