Amazingly, just because you decide something is a campaign event, doesn't make it so.

So what makes GWBs taxpayer bus tour acceptable, but Obama's not?

Do you not understand what it means by taxpayer funded?

I now know why these buses were so expensive. They are custom built so that the Republican House can easily be thrown under them.

    Don't come cheap, that.

What part of this is nothing new don't you understand? Did you even read the article TFM posted?

    Here's another one

    http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_08/taxpayerfinanced_campaigning031544.php

Its not official campaigning, he's doing nada wrong. Most of what I have seen so far is exactly what he said it was going to be, a series of town halls and the like focusing on jobs and the economy.

This seems to me to be yet another instance where Obama does something that previous president's have been doing for years, but all of a sudden its horribly wrong and there is
Something sinister is going on because Obama is the one doing it

Its flat out not a campaign tour, otherwise it wouldn't be funded by taxpayers. Simple as that.

I think because you deem something campaigning does not necessarily make it so.

So going to Iowa, a day after the GOP had their straw poll is not a campaign event. right.

What do you call it when the president goes to the same state the gop held a big polling event?

Here's a list of things I would call it.

    Hilarious irony.
GOP outsmarted by the president again.
Mewling about Bachmann and Palin not getting the spotlight for a moment.
    Petty GOP jealousy.
    GOP manufactured outrage.
Inability by posters to take the president to task on real issues.

I would call it the president going to the state where the gop held a "big" polling event.

    That does not equal campaign.

If Palin can clammor around battleground states in her gaudy constitution draped bus and crash state fairs without it being campaigning, why can Obama roll around for three days and have townhall meetings that aren't campaiging?

And amazingly, just because you say so still doesn't make it so.

Don't y'all tire of making ultra lame excuses for unethical behavior and policy fail?

And you want 5 more years of it?

That is an odd way to view things...something becomes a campaign event not by what it is or what is said but by who pays for it...convenient for Obama

Actually yes it does. Unlike you, I have facts on my side. See you can (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and whine and. Moan all you want, but his bus tour still wont be considered campaigning
