At what point does your opinion realize it stopped being the laughingstock of the forum about a month after the Trump election... To now just pity?

How can anyone's mind be so broken by an election to say the above? People got hurt Andrew. Jesus.

Whoever and whatever this person is aligned too is the least of my concerns. My concern is if they are crazy enough to pull off these types of attacks well guess what. They have the knowledge to do a bigger attack.

The person is going to the houses and leaving the packages late at night on the front porch so they will be discovered the next day, they aren't being mailed.

why deliver them himself? taking a big chance of being caught ,unless theirs a team network of them involved fallguys

Why would drug dealers want to set bombs in poor neighborhoods getting the FBI and Texas police involved? That one loses me entirely?

 

That is why I think the victims are chosen at random. They could be driving around at 2 am through various areas until they see a house that "looks good" and then they stop and leave it without knowing who lives there.

That lets them choose the neighborhood based on how quiet/empty it is and how likely there are to be cameras nearby instead of choosing the victims first and then trying to overcome unknown risks around their homes (barking dogs, neighbors that are up, etc...).

Dropping the packages off may be safer than just mailing it. Trying to mail a package and NOT fill out forms or get caught on camera is pretty difficult or impossible these days when mailing a decent sized box. Going into a post office or Mailbox store will usually catch a good shot of you as you walk in the door and while you wait at the counter, if you try to cover your face or wear gloves the clerk will get suspicious and remember you. Conversely walking up to a porch at 3 am in a hoodie/baseball cap or even a mask in areas that probably don't have many cameras is much less likely to provide usable footage.

 

Like Manson wanting to start a race war, possible, just not very likely.

 

Targeting both blacks and hispanics doesn't fit with starting a race war (might as well target both blacks and whites).

 

I am not assuming the terrorist knew the targets, just the hood.

 

I guess it could be said, be a lot more deaths if people had easy access to just going into a store and buying these bombs

weapons are tools, people will use the tool that they feel best does the job, in this case the person, most likely a man, had access to bombs and felt that was the best tool for the job that he had access too

 

The authorities sound impressed with the sophistication of the explosives which strongly hints at middle eastern influence IMO.

But this doesn't seem at all like a terrorist attack, no cause mentioned and only low end targets, if it were for practice it would only make it harder to hit higher profile targets later.

Maybe a very bright but twisted white guy with a background in science/chemistry? If he developed the skills in Austin without having to test the explosive it seems he would have to be very very bright.

I doubt if the camera would show more than a darkly clad hooded figure in black with no recognizable features/characteristics. Though a little footage of the car would be helpful, but those home cameras won't catch license plates and the perps will likely ditch the car once the police announce they are searching for that type of vehicle.

 

So yesterday residents called in 60 "suspicious packages". Sheesh I bet half were stuff that people ordered online and forgot. This is going to completely overwhelm the Austin PD and the bomb squad.

Apparently these bombs are fairly powerful and not just blowing off a hand or body part like many package bombs, but destroying much of the room as well. That may be why the first victim was ruled a "suspicious death" since they couldn't tell what happened.

 

What will make me happy is catching this bastard and sending him to prison for life, no parole.

 

If he/they are cruising neighborhoods at 3 am no one will try to stop or question them (unless the police start to scope out neighborhoods, but that seems unlikely since the incidents are spread all over).

They see a nice quiet street/house with no one around and get out to drop the package. Even if neighbors DID see some creepy guy dressed in black going up to the neighbors door at 3 am they will be afraid of him and not want to get close or confront him especially if they think he could be the bomber. They would call 911 or capture cell phone video, but nothing more.
