People here like everywhere differ. I am for Independence because of the way England is governed - that is who you put into Westminster. Some people believe it is impossible to get away from Imperialist Britain while in the UK (Deep State I guess) ....so for most people I think Independence offers the possibility of a different political way to England. Now I think if Corbyn becomes PM that could change. I think he or someone with similar politics is the thing which is most likely to halt the call for Independence. and I think some Indy voters are voting for him despite Labour saying it is against Independence. I very well might but it is either SNP or Tory for my seat. For the EU - well partly because it is in our interest for instance most of our exports are food and they cannot go much further away - also to be Internationalist. Scotland's desire for independence despite the name SNP is not nationalist in the ethnic nationalist sense. We are an inclusive country and unlike England we are not full.

It really depends on where you get your American refugees from.

Most of the violence in America is committed by people living in the ghetto's who grow up on welfare and vote for candidates like obama and hillary.

If your American refugees come from that group then you are certainly condeming some innocent Austrianians to serious injury or death

But if your refugees are white conservative republicans you will not notice any difference in your murder rate at all.
